  1. WI 82-3published at 31.0 overs

Stokes is testing out the middle of the pitch now and it almost pays dividends as Bonner mistimes a pull shot. The West Indies number 4 finds the gap at square leg, though, and gets a single.

More short stuff follows but Blackwood is yet to be tempted to take it on.

We've seen the first signs of the ball getting soft - it's 30 overs old now, and as we saw yesterday, batting becomes easier when the ball gets softer. No sign of Jack Leach yet - he may be on in the not-too-distant future.

  3. WI 81-3published at 30.0 overs

Woakes finds a bit of extra bounce with his first ball of the over and Bonner makes sure to keep his gloves well out of the way. Perhaps a touch more of that bounce later in the over and the ball comes off the shoulder of the bat but goes to ground quickly.

An in-swinger to finish from Woakes, zeroing in on the pads, but Bonner gets his bat down in the nick of time and is able to amble through for one thanks to an inside edge to fine leg.

Si Lomas: Given England wish to have a look at new players, they should have looked to the future and picked Darren Stevens for this pitch, his wobbly seamers and more than useful batting would have been perfect.

  5. WI 80-3published at 29.0 overs

Maiden from Stokes as he continues to bang the ball hard into the surface. He sends down a bouncer with the penultimate ball but Blackwood is content to duck under it.

  7. WI 80-3published at 28.0 overs

A pair of singles from the Woakes over as Bonner and Blackwood keep the scoreboard ticking along.

Again better from Woakes, even if the two scares for the Windies batters since lunch have come from legside strangles.

As Joel Wilson crosses his arms to signify that another of his decisions has been overturned, you can't help but reflect that the umpires have had a very poor series.

Bowler and wicketkeeper were convinced, the umpire agreed but Bonner knew he was safe. Daylight between bat and ball, it just flicked the thigh pad and the decision is overturned.

Down the legside, huge appeal and this time the umpire's finger goes up!

    Bonner reviews straightaway.

  12. WI 78-3published at 27.0 overs

Overpitched by Stokes and Blackwood thumps it back through mid-off for four, lovely shot.

A couple of deliveries later, Blackwood whips the ball behind square for two. Stokes still not looking entirely comfortable at the end of the over. One to keep an eye on.

Not sure who it was questioning whether Ben Stokes would bowl again in this match but whoever they were, clearly they don't know what they're talking about...

    Stokes is on to bowl.

Phil Knight: What a ridiculous review. Will that comeback to haunt England?

  15. WI 72-3published at 26.0 overs

A review down for England but a better over from Woakes in comparison to what we saw with the new ball. The line is tighter to the stumps, bringing the timbers as well as the edge into play.

A single from the over, worked off the hip to deep backward square by Blackwood.

As expected, nothing but pad there. Blackwood was never concerned and it is clear why, there was plenty of distance between bat and ball.

    England lose a review.

Three balls into the session and England call for what looks a very optimistic caught behind review as the ball goes through to Foakes down the legside. It looked to be all pad.

Right then, the players are back out and Chris Woakes is going to have a chance to get among the wickets. He'll get things started for England in the afternoon session, Jermaine Blackwood is on strike...
