Just three singles from Malan's over, each of the deliveries well flighted. Not bad.

Dawid Malan is going to have a bowl with his part-time leg-spin...

  3. Aus 163-5published at 50 overs

    Labuschagne 46, Green 7

Australia's lead is now 400. Ouch. Joe Root is still looking absolutely fed up at slip. If you're just joining us he had to go for a scan during the first session after being hit in the warm-ups. He wasn't wearing a box so it hurt, if you know what I'm saying...

  4. Aus 157-5published at 49 overs

They show the cricket in Hawaii?! Can someone take over while I tell my boss I'm going to live text the third Test from Honolulu?

Woakes' latest over is a quieter one with Cameron Green playing himself in.

    The day started so well...

Definitely, Eddie. I'll be honest I had to Google Kota Kinabalu but I'm jealous.

Marnus Labuschagne is on the charge, swatting Ollie Robinson to the boundary.

  10. Aus 148-5published at 46.4 overs

Stokes didn't even celebrate, I assume a result of the dire situation England are in. That doesn't mean it wasn't brilliant.

Cameron Green, who has hardly scored a run in the series, is the new batter. He almost runs out Marnus Labuschagne first ball but Ollie Pope misses with his throw.

    Head c Stokes b Robinson 51 (Aus 144-5)

Ben Stokes with a worldie!! There isn't a lot of competition but this might be England's best moment of the series.

England's superman runs around on the boundary before diving to his left to plunk the ball up inches from the turf.

Travis Head is out. Outrageous catch.

Now that's just rubbing it in. England's bowlers can only dream of something like that. They're going to have to take some pain in this session I'd expect.

Ollie Robinson is back, bowling seam rather than his off-spin we saw earlier.

Chris Woakes is handed the ball to start the session as he searches for his first wicket of the innings. Travis Head clobbers one back him, almost taking his head off, before moving to a 49-ball fifty.

The ideal time to declare is in the evening session but that gives England a sniff of batting it out.

Will Australia declare in this session? You'd think so. The floodlights won't come into play until the final session - after 9am UK time - but the hosts may as well get bowling.

    The players are back out.

It is going to be very difficult for England to save this game.

England were fantastic in the first hour. The lengths they bowled were fantastic and there was significant lateral movement.

Paul Cunningham: What changed after the first 14 overs? The cautious captain came back, nothing else. Amazing player but I don’t think he has the tactics right for this Ashes series, and again before the hate starts, AMAZING player

Mark Hollings: It’s all gone to pot since Root came back on. Just saying…

Tattz: Rather see Malan’s part-time spin than Ollie Robinson having a crack at it. And whilst we are at it, we’ve taken our wickets pitching the ball up, and then Root spreads the field asks Stokes to bowl short! This is poor after a great start.
