She hasn't always timed the ball, it hasn't been pretty but she is so gritty and so determined. She will really want to kick on now that she's got this start.

Where would England be without Tammy Beaumont today?
Eng 127-3
The England opener loves batting against South Africa and brings up another half-century against them from 84 balls.
Apparently, whenever she has reached 50 against South Africa, she has converted it into a ton...
Beaumont 49, Jones 38
Heather Knight wore an understandably anguished expression as she dragged herself off the pitch earlier after being dismissed. She is looking far more relaxed now, smiling as she sits and munches down what appears to be marmite on toast.
Meanwhile, in the middle, Beaumont and Jones take three from Kapp's over.

I cannot emphasise how important these next 10 overs are. These two just need to keep it simple, keep the runs ticking over, play simple cricket.
South Africa will then go into the final 10 overs feeling under pressure, whereas a wicket now will give them momentum.
Good running between the wickets helps Beaumont and Jones combine for 11 from Khaka's over.
Alex Hartley and Isa Guha both mentioned the need for them to stay together until the 30th over, they're almost there...
Hammered! Ayabonga Khaka back into the attack and Beaumont welcomes her with a firm drive back down the ground, it's past the despairing dive at mid-on and away for four.
Klaas has been kept the runs down but England have more than made up for it from the other end in the past few overs.

If England can get to 240, they'll be happy. South Africa are also a team who haven't fired with the bat yet.
England are struggling to get Klaas away but the seamer helps them out with a couple of leg-side wides to keep the scoreboard ticking over.

They're a dangerous team, South Africa, but any score near to 250 is going to be a lot.

That's nice, decisive footwork from Amy Jones. South Africa are still trying to squeeze England with fielders inside the circle. They're telling England they need to take risks to score runs.
Beaumont 37, Jones 36
Jones adds a second boundary in the over as she clubs a drag-down from Tryon to the mid-wicket boundary. That's a productive over for England.
Eng 103-3
Amy Jones takes England into three figures with a thumping drive between mid-off and extra cover. That is the shot of a player who looks to be finding form - and at just the right time.

I'm desperate for Jones to play an innings that we've seen her play so often in domestic cricket.
She's been good and seems to have a bit of determination about her.
Good over from Klaas, keeping England to just a pair of singles from it. The seamer has been very economical so far, taking 1-12 from her first five overs.
Thanks, Ffion. This has been a good recovery from England after that rather shaky start. They need Beaumont and Jones to keep going to get them up to a competitive total though.
Beaumont 35, Jones 26
Chloe Tryon recovers things for South Africa with a maiden to Amy Jones.
We're halfway through England's innings. What can they get to from the next 25 overs? Here's Sam Drury to take you through it.
In a bit!

Bowling leg-spin is the hardest discipline in cricket but to be an international bowler, she has to get her lines and lengths right.
But it is also difficult to face when you don't know where it's going.
Not sure we'll see much more of Sune Luus' bowling after that.
Although sometimes that's the exact type of bowling that will take a wicket. Perhaps that's the idea.
