The next ball is a wide, so Luus has to bowl the free hit again - the next legal delivery is thumped into the leg side for two by Amy Jones.

That is honestly the worst delivery I've seen in my life - it's bounced three times!

  3. Eng 91-3published at 23.1 overs

A double bouncer from Sune Luus, who is really struggling. Free hit incoming.

  4. Eng 90-3published at 23 overs

Chloe Tryon is the spinner offering a bit more control at the moment, this over going for just three singles.

Sune Luus should probably start using the facilities available.

  6. Eng 87-3published at 22 overs

Spin from both ends as Sune Luus comes on for a bowl.

Somehow she only concedes five singles despite three full tosses and a half tracker being served up - the batters only able to find the boundary fielders.

A better over from Chloe Tryon - just two from it.

These two are settling in nicely for England. They can't afford to lose any more wickets soon - their tail is longer today as Charlie Dean was brought in for Lauren Winfield-Hill.

Wonderful shot from Amy Jones, possibly the best shot she has played all tournament.

  9. Eng 80-3published at 20 overs

South Africa on the hunt for more wickets.

Shabnim Ismail back into the attack. No immediate impact though, as Amy Jones drives gloriously past the bowler for a boundary before pulling down to fine leg for another.

Tryon will try and bowl outside off stump, to ensure England can't sweep.

  11. Eng 71-3published at 19 overs

    Beaumont 29, Jones 8

A good over for England - taking Chloe Tryon for a boundary and five singles as the spinner struggles for control.

Just what these two need to keep doing, play risk-free cricket and build that platform.

Here it is, folks. Spare a thought for Nat Sciver because this was inexplicable.

These two have got to bat until at least the 30th over. They have got a lot of work to do.

  14. Eng 62-3published at 18 overs

    Beaumont 22, Jones 6

Masabata Klaas drifts onto the pads of Beaumont, who clips it past square leg for four.

It's been a good spell from Klaas, though, settling into a consistent rhythm and picking up where the opening bowlers left off. She has 1-10 from her four overs so far.

  16. Eng 57-3published at 17 overs

    Beaumont 17, Jones 6

Just the three singles from Tryon's first over.

Still reeling from Nat Sciver's dismissal, to be honest. Literally so unlucky.

We've got some spin for the first time today as Chloe Tryon comes into the attack.

Bowling in a cap ... always controversial.

  18. Eng 54-3published at 16 overs

Masabata Klaas continues after the drinks break, and it's a maiden.

A real test of patience here for Beaumont and Jones.

  19. Eng 54-3published at 15 overs

The camera did just show Mithali Raj in attendance, sporting a flamboyant flowery shirt and sunglasses.

England play India on Wednesday - checking out the competition, I guess.

Time for a drink. I could do with a coffee myself.

The India team are in watching today. Not the way I'd want to spend my day off at a World Cup.
