Kris: Think we’re seeing how much of an influence Morgan was to this team. Even if he wasn’t scoring himself, he was obviously giving them a lot of confidence behind the scenes.

That is a smart catch from Quinton de Kock because he had to look behind him and make sure he didn't run into his helmet and then took a simple catch. It could have been a mess if he hadn't looked behind him for the helmet.
Rashid c De Kock b Nortje 0 (Eng 254-9)
Three wickets in the over!
Short again from Nortje, Adil Rashid tries to uppercut it but sends it straight up and Quinton de Kock, being careful to avoid the helmet just behind him, takes a spiralling catch.

Credit has to go to South Africa, they have almost played the perfect game. They took advantage of an inexperienced bowling attack and have done what they needed to with the ball.

It was a lightning quick delivery again from Anrich Nortje.
It is about as out as it is possible to be.
Curran lbw b Nortje 18 (Eng 253-8)
The end is nigh for England. Curran is plumb lbw after going across his stumps to ramp, missing and get a whack on the toe.
Unsurprisingly, there was no review.

You can see that South Africa have learnt a lot from the first innings and they've used the pressure of the chase against England.

Anrich Nortje has been rewarded for his aggressive spell of bowling.
Root b Nortje 86 (Eng 252-7)
Scrap that, the fun is over. Root has dragged on, the end of a superb knock.
Root was back and trying to pull but the ball didn't get up quite as much as he expected and he can only divert it onto his stumps.
South Africa are closing in on a 1-0 series lead.

It will be tough, especially with 80-metre boundaries, but it is cricket and we've seen stranger things happen.

England are still alive but only just...
Three boundaries in a row!
Pace on from Nortje and Root nails him through the leg-side for four more.
You never know...
Target 334
Root middles the first two balls of the Pretorius over but the big square boundaries mean he has to settle for two each time.
Curran finally gets going from the last two balls though. Back-to-back boundaries! One over mid-wicket, the next over extra cover.
England need 86 from 36 balls.

Jonny: Think people are being pretty harsh here. The team fielding first was always going to struggle, bowling and fielding for four hours in 40c. The boys are knackered!
Eng 235-6
There were some whoops from the South Africa players when there is a spike on UltraEdge but the third umpire judges that the ball flicked the arm guard rather than the glove. Curran survives.
James Anderson
England bowler on Test Match Special
You know it's quick when the keeper takes it and shakes his hand after as if it's hurt him. It must be coming through at some pace.
Eng 235-6
A sharp bouncer from Anrich Nortje to end the over and South Africa have sent it upstairs. Did Curran get anything on that?
Joe Root is going along very nicely but England will need plenty more shots like this if they're to get anywhere close to their target now.

Adam: No idea how this England side have completely lost their identity in a matter of weeks. They look bemused.
