Add another one to the play and miss count. It's Potts to Petersen this time to end the over. The right-hander had shown restraint to stop himself fiddling at the previous ball but is drawn in by the last.
It's on a very good line around off stump and just moves away. Outside edge in play but still not found.
Simon Mann
BBC Test Match Special
I felt England let Petersen away too easily. You have to apply the pressure on, especially when you have an inexperienced opener and a new batter.
Broad turns away with a shrug after sliding the ball past Erwee's outside edge.
England haven't been great with the ball but they could argue, with some justification, that they've been a little unfortunate too with the number of times the ball has gone past the bat.
Daniel Norcross
BBC Test Match Special
There was no way there was a run there. Petersen had gone hurtling down the pitch.
Broad had all three stumps to aim for and couldn't hit one of them.
Chance! Big mix-up and Petersen ended up more than halfway down the track looking for a single which Erwee had no interest in.
Broad swooped to collect the ball, turned and took aim... but missed by a distance. Petersen would have been well short of his ground at the non-striker's end but instead South Africa get three in overthrows.
That just about sums up the session for England.

Meanwhile at Lord's, South Africa have got every chance of taking a lead into tea. We've got another 45 minutes to go until then.
The great couscous debate rages on. Game-changing healthy option or expertly-marketed tiny pasta? You decide...

John 'Trafik' Elliott: Couscous is literally just tiny pasta. Got itself a decent PR team in ‘00s that convinced people it was a healthier option.
Erwee looks like he is here for the long haul.
It is an extended session but it will feel even longer for England's bowlers as they continue to toil in pursuit of wickets.
Andy Zaltzman
BBC Test Match Special statistician
This is Erwee's second 50-plus score in his fifth Test. He has played over 100 first-class games, averaging 39, but has averanged just over 50 since January 2020.
Daniel Norcross
BBC Radio
It's been a pretty good knock, you'd have to say. Some very fine balls have beaten him but or the most part he has looked solid and done his job as an opener.
SA 124-1
Lovely shot to bring up a second 50-plus score in Tests for the South Africa opener. A storng square drive that races away for four.
It's hard to remember a false shot that Erwee has played so far. A very competent knock to put South Africa in a dominant position.

Michael Jones: A great accompaniment to a meal, extremely versatile, naturally low in fat and high in fibre. So good, in fact, they named it twice.
Petersen 15, Erwee 47
Potts v Petersen. It's another Durham reunion clash with the England bowler shaping the ball gently away from the South Africa right-hander.
Just a couple of runs from the over. Time to delve back into couscous chat...

As Stephan said a couple of minutes ago, it has not been the most inspiring passage of play. There's not a huge amount of energy from England in the field, it looks like a grind for them at the moment.
South Africa are just ticking along nicely.

BBC cricket correspondent on Test Match Special
That edge would have gone to gully, who has just moved out. That's a little bit fortuitous. It has been that sort of day for England so far.
A thick outside edge from Petersen as he pushes at a ball wide of off from the returning Stuart Broad.
It goes at a very catchable height through gully but there is nobody there. Four runs.
Stephan Shemilt
BBC Sport chief cricket writer at Lord's
This is all a bit humdrum, isn't it? A lack of penetration with the ball, some determined batting, a sleepy Lord's. England have just called for a helmet, so we could soon see Jack Leach.
