Markram c Foakes b Leach 16 (SA 160-3)
And Jack Leach strikes with his first ball after the break!
Aiden Markram goes fishing outside off stump and ends up feathering through to Ben Foakes, who takes a very good catch up close. Leach goes wheeling away in celebration as Markram heads back to the dressing room.
Jack Leach, who found some handy turn before tea, will have a bowl.

Anderson stands in the middle of the pitch and stares at Erwee as if to say, 'I don't enjoy the way you play, you're not very stylish and it's about time you nicked off!'
Sarel Erwee gets the first runs of the evening session with a push towards point.
James Anderson ends his over with a stare towards Erwee for having the cheek to not get out.
James Anderson will resume after tea.
Here come the players.
We can play until 19:00 BST tonight, by the way. Which is a long ol' evening session.

All this couscous chat reminds me of the wonderful Peep Show quote: “Here it is: my Tupperware box of tasteless misery sand.” We’ve all been Mark.

It is not the aggressive fielding that has seen England concede runs it is the bowlers missing their areas, which will be a source of frustration to the bowling camp as they pride themselves on the areas they hit.
Yes it isn't doing as much as yesterday but there is still enough in it for the bowlers and England haven't managed to maintain any pressure.
It hasn't been England's best day, although they have managed to claim two South Africa wickets.
The first one was, er, slightly comical, let's say.

Sarel Erwee is growing in confidence. He looked very nervous early on but has battled through in difficult conditions.
Sarel Erwee has been very solid today but may not be a player England fans know too much about.
He's playing his fifth Test but just two years ago was ready to quite the game.
You can read more about him here.
Cheers, Sam.

A long old session after the rain yesterday, but just the two wickets for England as South Africa, led by Sarel Erwee's half-century, moved to within touching distance of a first-innings lead.
The home side will hope for a change of fortune after tea and to take you through the evening session, it's over to Amy Lofthouse.

South Africa are getting themselves into a very strong posiiton.
It is fair to say England have had their moments with the ball, they have bowled some very good deliveries. But they have not been consistent enough and have given away scoring opportunities.

More big turn for Leach, this time to Markram to start the over. He drags the next one short, though, and it is cut away powerfully by Markram for four.
Another ripper! Markram prods forward and the ball fizzes past the edge. That wasn't out of the rough either.
Those couple of overs of spin mean there is plenty for both sides to think about over tea.

"Jaffas and junk" is a new phrase on me, but it nicely sums up how England have bowled today. Some good deliveries, but too many loose ones. They look short of a gallop - would it have been worth playing for the Lions last week to tune up?

It has been a little bit like this from England today.
There have been some balls that have been absolutely unplayable followed by some inconsistent bowling.

Beauty! Anderson is quick to respond to that Markram boundary. He does so with an out-swinger that goes late and beats the right-hander all ends up.
