Aiden Markram on top form really can look good. He nails an extra cover drive to the fence as Anderson over-pitches, really leaning into the shot.
Dismissive stuff.

Very good start by Leach, getting a couple of spin sharply out of the rough and given Erwee something to think about.
A maiden over.

That has turned very big. Leach landed it perfectly in the footmarks there.
Big turn! Leach lands his second ball perfectly into the footmarks and it grips and turns sharply to hit Erwee on the pad.
Not out but that's a good sign for the England left-arm spinner.

Tuffers has lost his bet, Jack Leach is coming on. He didn't think a spinner would bowl a ball in the match.
He does go big very early sometimes.
Anderson is getting some pretty marked swing back in to Markram but the batter is able to defend solidly.
With tea approaching, we are going to see some spin for the first time in the match. What can Jack Leach do?
Interesting, although that does sound like something someone from Big Couscous would say to keep the healthy 'myth' going, Harry...

Couscous is not 'tiny pasta' at all, pasta is made from milled flour, whereas couscous is made from unmilled grains of semolina.

Glorious from Markram! Too full from Potts and the South African batter is able to get forward and drill the ball through extra cover for four.
Top shot.
In case anyone was wondering how things are going in this game, England have just tried to get the ball changed. That's usually a sign it's not going brilliantly for them.
No joy this time.
Three singles from the Anderson over, all defended to the vacant cover point region.
The fielder that was there has been added to the cordon as England hunt wickets. It's the only way they'll get back into this game.

That was lovely bowling. What are you supposed to do there as a left-hander? Well, hope you don't edge it basically.
Too good, again, from Anderson.
He started his last spell with a beauty to Elgar that fizzed past the edge, this time he does it Erwee. Angled in, nipping away. Edge that if you can. So far, no one has got close enough!

England are on the attack as Aiden Markram comes in at number four for South Africa.
He gets off the mark with a thick outside edge, just wide of the freshly strengthened slip cordon.
James Anderson will bowl the next over. Ben Stokes senses that this is England's moment...
Vic Marks
Former England spinner on BBC Test Match Special
It was not a great shot. But there is still some movement and Potts has looked the most likely in the last 20 minutes, particularly to the right-hander.
Can England now apply the pressure that they failed to do when they dismissed Elgar?
Simon Mann
BBC Test Match Special
That was a rather tame dismissal really.
Petersen c Bairstow b Potts 24 (SA 138-2)
Edge found - at long, long last!
Full from Potts, Petersen goes after it with a loose drive but the ball shapes away late and he can only nick it to Jonny Bairstow at third slip.
England needed that.
Another over drifts by with two runs for Erwee, worked through square leg, from it.
That's all well and good, David, but what are your views on couscous?
