It looked pretty straight from here but we're way up in the gods.
Has Ben Stokes done it again? He traps Rassie van der Dussen lbw - but van der Dussen reviews.

Marco Jansen has never batted as high as six in his first-class career. He has spent most of his career at eight with a few innings at nine.
Oh, England have managed to get the ball changed!
Only taken them five attempts or so.
Ben Stokes is going to carry on bowling, anyway.

Ben Stokes is still holding that knee stood at mid-off.
Hmm. Ben Stokes didn't look thrilled about his knee at the end of that over. He fielded a little awkwardly earlier in the day and looked as though he'd tweaked it a touch.

I don't think I have seen such a change in the field from one over to the other.

This is odd as we have a new batsman and there's no slips. We had five not so long ago.

There's no slips in for the new batter, which is one of the many strange fields Ben Stokes has set for himself so far.
A single brings Rassie van der Dussen on strike and he does wonderfully well to turn and pull the ball for four.
The towering figure of Marco Jansen has come out to bat.

A cracking short ball angling into the left hander.
It worked against New Zealand a couple of times when things went a bit flat and it has worked here.
Erwee c Foakes b Stokes 73 (SA 187-4)
The bouncer works!
That is a very, very good short ball from Ben Stokes, who didn't quite get it right in the previous over. Dug in, aimed at the body, and a contorted Sarel Erwee can only fend the ball up into the air. Ben Foakes jogs back and settles himself well to take the catch.

That was a shot of some authority from Rassie van der Dussen, who hasn't always looked comfortable facing Jack Leach.
That's a better shot from Rassie van der Dussen, getting down low early on and sweeping Jack Leach nicely for four.

Following on from the hideaway hamster story my mouse experience is worth a chuckle. Our cat brought a live mouse into our house. Then let it go. Mouse disappears. Could not be found. Eventually gave up looking & picked up my backpack to discover mouse had climbed up & inside a backstrap. Precision opening up fabric backstrap to let mouse loose with cat locked in another room.

Ben Stokes decides to try out some of his patented short ball theory, with six men on the leg side, waiting for the top edge.
I'm never a massive fan of this tactic, which seems to just do a good job of exhausting Stokes rather than taking a wicket, but I guess sometimes you do just need to try something different.
A fine falling stop by Ollie Pope at short leg stops Sarel Erwee nabbing a single, and that's another maiden for Stokes.

It's happening for Leach. He has got into a good rhythm, there's spin, there's turn, the odd one to the left-hander is keeping low like that one.
He just has to keep that pressure on.
Sarel Erwee hoicks Jack Leach over deep mid-wicket and only a terrific sliding stop by Alex Lees stops him picking up four.
Ooft! Another miscued shot, this time the ball coming off the bottom of the bat, somehow avoids the stumps, before he and Rassie van der Dussen jog a single.
