Ben Compton continues where he left off yesterday by effortlessly flicking Ben Sanderson down to fine leg for four.
Seven run come from the belated first over of play as Compton advances to 132 not out.

It's a sign of how well Essex have batted today that Lancashire are turning to Matt Parkinson.
He bowled 23 overs yesterday and he's the fifth man to be thrown the ball on the second day.

A single follows to secure Worcestershire's first batting point before Azhar Ali slams through the covers off the back foot to bring up the 150 partnership with Haynes.

They have a slice of luck at the end of the next over, though, as Azhar Ali plays a loose shot off Wiaan Mulder and the ball flies away off the edge for four. He has 71 and Haynes is 58.
