WICKETpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Fraine c Burgess b Rhodes 31 (Yorks 82-2 v Warwicks 244)

Will Fraine tries to leg-glance Will Rhodes, but he doesn't make a solid enough contact and nicks a catch through to Michael Burgess.

A disappointing exit, which ends a 49-run stand with Adam Lyth, but it brings former England skipper Joe Root to the crease.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Organ c Gregory b Overton 20 (Somerset 211 v Hampshire 38-1)

After so much patience last night, Felix Organ has had a brain fade.

Craig Overton tempts him outside off and Organ takes the bait - hook, line and sink - as he flashes with little foot movement and the ball flies to Lewis Gregory at slip.

Under grey skies at Taunton, Somerset are in the wickets.

  9. Pears collect batting pointpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Worcs 204-2 v Leics 148

The boundaries keep coming at New Road where Jack Haynes flashes Wiaan Mulder away square - he certainly wasn't in total control of that shot.

A single follows to secure Worcestershire's first batting point before Azhar Ali slams through the covers off the back foot to bring up the 150 partnership with Haynes.

He is 75 not out, with his partner on 68 - the lead is 56.

  10. Play at Tauntonpublished at 13:46 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Somerset 211 v Hampshire 33-0

Cricket has broken out finally at Taunton as Hampshire openers Felix Organ and Ian Holland have resumed at the crease.

They take four from Peter Siddle's opening over to get up and running.

    Notts 142-2 v Derbyshire 260

Ben Duckett square cuts Alex Hughes for four, then tucks him away for two into the leg-side to bring up his 50 from just 65 balls.

The left-hander is having a very consistent season - his lowest score is 23 but he only converted one of his five previous half-centuries into a hundred. He won't want to fall short again this time.

  12. Postpublished at 13:43 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 75-1 v Warwicks 244

Acceleration from Yorkshire as Will Fraine cover drives Nathan McAndrew for two successive fours - the second is textbook, down on one knee, high follow-through. Sir Geoffrey B would approve.

Fraine has now overtaken Adam Lyth, moving on to 24 not out, and they have added 42 since the morning dismissal of George HIll.

  13. Victory for Diablo the Devilpublished at 13:40 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Lancashire v Essex 341-8

I mentioned the big event taking place during lunch at Old Trafford was the mascot race.

Well, it was a convincing win for Diablo the Devil of rugby league side Salford Red Devils, beating home favourite Lanky the Giraffe into second place!

Much enjoyed by the schoolkids here, which is the most important thing.

Maximum for Haynespublished at 13:33 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Worcs 186-2 v Leics 148

Worcestershire are certainly getting on with it following the loss of the morning session at New Road and Jack Haynes pulls a short ball from Chris Wright away for six.

They have a slice of luck at the end of the next over, though, as Azhar Ali plays a loose shot off Wiaan Mulder and the ball flies away off the edge for four. He has 71 and Haynes is 58.

    Notts 126-2 v Derbyshire 260

They are also back on again at Trent Bridge and Ben Duckett finds the cover boundary off Alex Hughes, assisted by some truly awful fielding, to progress to 38 not out and bring up a 50 partnership with Joe Clarke.

We have play at New Road and Jack Haynes wastes no time in adding the eight runs he required overnight to reach 50.

Both shots are identical, punches away square off Wiaan Mulder, as he brings up his half-century from 103 balls.

He made a hundred in Worcestershire's last two games - is he going to make it a hat-trick?
