  1. Postpublished at 12:08 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 53-1 v Warwicks 244

The umpires aren't happy with Nathan McAndrew running down the pitch in his follow-through - he's going to have to be careful.

BBC West Yorkshire Sport reminds listeners that today is the anniversary of a quite incredible match involving Yorkshire at Middlesbrough in 1965 when they were bowled out for 23 in their second innings by Hampshire.

That was a team including Boycott, Close, Illingworth and Trueman and the highest score was seven not out by Don Wilson. It remains the White Rose county's lowest first-class score.

  2. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Nottinghamshire 94-2 v Derbyshire 260

The rain has arrived in Nottingham and the players are running for cover.

I think it's going to be one of those days. Thankfully they have been very rare so far this season.

  3. Covers are offpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Lancashire v Essex 297-7

The covers are off at Old Trafford and play is to resume at 12.20BST.

We will have 84 more overs - weather permitting - today and then 104 overs are scheduled for tomorrow, eight more than normal.

  4. Postpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 51-1 v Warwicks 244

Yorkshire's total reaches 50 as Will Fraine plays OHD down to third man and comes back for three.

Adam Lyth looks like he is certainly playing the long game today - he has only added five to his overnight seven not out as we approach the end of the first hours' play.

  5. Postpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 44-1 v Warwicks 244

Will Fraine is certainly living dangerously here.

After surviving an lbw appeal, he shoulders arms to the next delivery from Oliver Hannon-Dalby and the bowler goes up again.

The umpire contemplates briefly, but decides it wasn't hitting the stumps.

  6. wicket

    Slater c Guest b Conners 38 (Nottinghamshire 76-2 v Derbyshire 260)

    Sam ConnersImage source, Rex Features

That's the best way to slow the scoring down!

Ben Slater gets a faint tickle to a Sam Conners ball and it's routine for Brooke Guest behind the stumps.

Eight fours from Slater, but that will be frustrating.

  7. Postpublished at 11:44 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 44-1 v Warwicks 244

An anxious moment for Will Fraine as a leading edge flies back towards Nathan McAndrew, but the Warwickshire paceman can't get his hand on it. One run is added to the Yorkshire total.

  8. Pitch inspection at Tauntonpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Somerset 211 v Hampshire 29-0

Some positive news from cider country as there is a pitch inspection at noon at Taunton.

  9. Postpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 43-1 v Warwicks 244

This is good, tight bowling by Warwickshire. Adam Lyth is beaten outside off stump in the course of another OHD maiden - six of his eight so far have been maidens.

Here's the first change of the morning by the Bears with Nathan McAndrew taking over from Henry Brookes, who has the one wicket to fall.

  10. Postpublished at 11:39 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Nottinghamshire 71-1 v Derbyshire 260

Ben Duckett is a man in form this summer, averaging 62, and he is gifted a leg stump half-volley to get off the mark.

He shows that fine form as Sam Conners is a touch short and Duckett guides it behind point for another four.

  12. Postpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorks 41-1 v Warwicks 244

Following a maiden from Oliver Hannon-Dalby to Adam Lyth, Henry Brookes begins a new over and Will Fraine runs it away for four with soft hands to open his account.

  13. wicket

    Hameed c Madsen b Conners 15 (Nottinghamshire 55-1 v Derbyshire 260)

    Haseeb HameedImage source, Rex Features

    What a catch!

Nottinghamshire have been going along at T20 Blast pace, but Derbyshire have got a vital breakthrough.

Haseeb Hameed edges hard and low and Wayne Madsen pouches it brilliantly left-handed to give Sam Conners a wicket.

Super work in the slips from 38-year-old Madsen.

  14. Postpublished at 11:21 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Notts 50-0 v Derbyshire 260

It's early but I doubt we'll see a better stroke than that all day.

Sam Conners overpitches and Haseeb Hameed punches it straight back between the bowler's right hand and the stumps for four.

Ben Slater cover drives Liam Hurt for four in the next over and a repeat brings him three more runs, which brings up a 50 partnership.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:17 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Hill c Burgess b Brookes 25 (Yorks 33-1 v Warwicks 244)

Just what Warwickshire needed - George Hill chases after a fairly undistinguished delivery from Henry Brookes and edges through to the keeper. Not a shot the Yorkshire opener will want to see on video.

Will Fraine is in at number three. He's playing in this match because England's Dawid Malan has a sore Achilles.

  16. rain stops play

Rain stops playpublished at 11:15 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Lancashire v Essex 297-7

Shane Snater tries to work one to leg off Tom Bailey and gets an edge. But he's relieved to see it loop over the slips and race down to third man for four.

Snater is providing useful support for Dan Lawrence, though, who plays a gorgeous hook shot for four.

And with that, the players are racing off the field as the rain suddenly comes down.

  17. Postpublished at 11:12 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Yorkshire 33-0 v Warwickshire 244

Adam Lyth gets the scorecard moving this morning with a single before George Hill sends a Henry Brookes delivery to the rope.

The Bears will want some early wickets this morning.

  18. Postpublished at 11:06 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

So just to make it absolutely clear, the start has been delayed at Northampton, Taunton, Lord's and Worcester - and we have play at Old Trafford, Headingley and Trent Bridge.

  19. Postpublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Lancashire v Essex 284-7

Dan Lawrence gets the first runs of the day with a streaky inside edge down to the boundary for four.

Tom Bailey to bowl from the Brian Statham End.

  20. Postpublished at 11:05 British Summer Time 20 May 2022

    Notts 30-0 v Derbyshire 260

Two early boundaries for Haseeb Hameed off Liam Hurt.

The first is a thick edge to third man, but the second is an elegant on-drive.

He was nought not out overnight, and he'll be happy to have early runs on the board.
