Massive hit from Keith Barker. He's up to 36 and the target is now only 24 away.
Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 268-9
Last man Brad Wheal hits a glorious cover drive off Aaron Beard. That was a James Vince special! Wheal has five.
This is all valuable support for Keith Barker. The target is now down to 31.
Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 302-6
The 300 is up for Kent as Jordan Cox and Matt Milnes have added 32 so far for the seventh wicket.
A lot more batting left for them to do, with 150 overs still to go in the match.
Northants 451, Warwickshire 212-4
Now there is a big surprise.
Having looked unmovable, and just after reaching his century, Dom Sibley gets a thin edge to Jack White, Northants keeper Lewis McManus takes a low catch - and the currently unneeded England opener is gone.
New man in is Jacob Bethell.
Sussex 310-7 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec
Anuj Dal has really done a great job for his side since lunch.
He gets the big wicket as he thuds into Mohammad Rizwan's pads and his lovely innings ends at 130.
Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 254-9
Kyle Abbott has hung around for a useful 20, but he has to go now.
Aaron Beard gets an LBW decision as he hits Abbott on the pads. That was close - my gut feeling was it may have missed leg stump, but my opinion doesn't matter.
45 needed between Keith Barker and last man Brad Wheal.

Loser92: It could be a close run thing at Chelmsford. Those Hants tailenders are showing no signs of weakness. Come on Essex!
Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 250-8
Keith Barker clubs one over midwicket for four to bring up the 250 for Hampshire.
With a career average of 28, he's a more than useful batter to have coming in at number nine.
49 more required.
Glamorgan 78-2 (chasing 332 to beat Worcestershire)
Young spinner Josh Baker takes his first wicket of the match as Ed Byrom holes out to Ed Barnard on 32.
Colin Ingram ( 27) has been joined by Sam Northeast.
Northants 451, Warwickshire 208-3
Dom Sibley reaches his century for the 17th time in first-class cricket - and his 11th for Warwickshire.
It has taken more than five and a half hours - and has only contained six fours - but it could turn to be a key innings for his team as the Bears chase down their initial target of 302 to avoid being asked to follow on by Northants.
Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 240-8
Hampshire's ninth-wicket stand is now worth 27 as Keith Barker and Kyle Abbott make life tricky for the Essex bowlers.
Abbott carves successive boundaries off Aaron Beard as the target is now 59 runs away.
Gloucestershire 337, Lancashire 356-8
Tom Bailey sees his bright and breezy knock of 40 come to an end.
It only took 61 balls, little over an hour - and contained eight fours.
But it is a first wicket of the innnigs for Zafar Gohar.
Will Williams comes in to join Luke Wood.
Sussex 299-6 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec
Delroy Rawlins had hit a bright-and-breezy 37 in a partnership of 58 with Mohammd Rizwan, but he has been bowled all ends up by Anuj Dal.
Derbyshire keep chipping away here in the Hove sunshine.
Northants 451, Warwickshire 204-3
Northants respond to Warwickshire's first batting point by taking the new ball - six overs late.
Ben Sanderson is handed first use of the shiny red Duke's. Good luck.
Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 277-6
This match has taken a familiar turn for Surrey.
Once again, they have racked up a mammoth first innings score and have complete control of the game.
It's a battle against the clock in four-day cricket though, as they need 14 more wickets in just five sessions to wrap up a victory.
(Apologies Kent fans - I give you zero chance of winning this one!)
Northants 451, Warwickshire 204-3
Warwickshire claim their first batting bonus point - in the 86th over!!!
Is that a new record?
Dom Sibley is on 98 - just one blow away from a century.
He's so far been there five and a quarter hours.
Gloucestershire 337, Lancashire 342-7
Good effort this from Tom Bailey (27) and Luke Wood (19).
They have put together a 50 partnership - and nudged their side into the lead at Nevil Road
It is the third half-century-plus stand of the innings, to follow the 115 put on for the second wicket between Keaton Jennings and Josh Bohannon - and then the 57 for the fifth wicket between Steven Croft and Phil Salt.
The chance of adding to their three batting bonus points has gone, but, with Will Williams and Jack Morley still to come, there is the chance of building a small lead.
Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 270-6
Tom Lawes is having a great spell here for Surrey.
Coming round the wicket to George Linde, he cramps the left hander for room, and the South African plays on.
The 19-year-old is loving his first taste of Championship cricket.
Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 213-8
Simon Harmer is proving a one-man wrecking ball of Hampshire's chances in this match.
Coming round the wicket to Ben Brown, he gets one to turn and straighten into the pads and enough for the finger to go up.
With Brown's departure and 86 still needed, it could prove far too many for numbers nine, 10 and 11.
That is now 14 for the match for Harmer.
Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 208-7
Got him!!
Aneurin Donald takes one risk too many to Simon Harmer's off spin. He tries to cut one spinning into him, and just like his captain James Vince before lunch, he loses his stumps.
Donald had blasted two fours and two sixes in his 16 balls, but Harmer has his 13th victim of the game.
