    WICKET - Lloyd c D'Oliveira b Morris 13published at 12:46 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

Glamorgan 21-1 (chasing 332 to win)

Worcesterhire break through at New Road as, fresh from his batting heroics, Charlie Morris gets Glamorgan skipper David Lloyd.

Colin Ingram comes in to join Ed Byrom.

  2. 100 runs

for Mohammad Rizwanpublished at 12:43 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Sussex 237-4 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec

A first Sussex century for Mohammad Rizwan, and a first in county cricket.

The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter's 18th four of his innings is a bit streaky, but enough to bring up his 100 off 172 balls.

  3. wicket

    WICKET - Balderson c Bracey b Higgins 20published at 12:34 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Gloucestershire 337, Lancashire 289-7

Lancashire lose their third wicket of the morning - and Ryan Higgins his second - as George Balderson departs, caught behind.

It's also a second catch today for wicketkeeper James Bracey.

Just 11 more needed for a third batting point - or two wickets for a third Gloucestershire bowling point - and 11 overs left to get them.

  4. wicket

    WICKET - Dawson c Rossington b Beard 5published at 12:31 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 140-5

Essex are halfway towards victory now!

Aaron Beard produces a beauty to Liam Dawson just outside off, which gets a feather of an edge through to Adam Rossington.

That's four wickets in 24 balls for the loss of 14 runs. A dramatic spell and one that could prove the decisive one in this fast-moving match.

  5. wicket

    WICKET - Carter b Watt 56published at 12:27 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Sussex 213-4 v Derbyshire 551-8 dec

The breakthrough today at Hove comes courtesy of Mark Watt's slow left-armers.

Oliver Carter had got to his 50 to carry on his good form after 185 and 83 against Glamorgan in his last Championship game, but the 20-year-old goes back to cut and is bowled.

  6. wicket

    WICKET - Bell-Drummond c Amla b Jacks 102published at 12:26 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 216-3

Daniel Bell-Drummond will be furious with himself for this one.

Ryan Jacks comes round the wicket, but offers up one short and wide outside off-stump. Bell-Drummond's eyes light up but he does not time it and it loops to backward point for the simplest of catches.

On a true Oval pitch, the Kent man will feel like he has missed out on a really big score.

  7. wicket

WICKET - Gubbins lbw b Harmer 9published at 12:24 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 135-4

Simon Harmer weaves his magic again!

Coming round the wicket, he traps left-hander Nick Gubbins in front of his stumps and the finger goes up.

From 97-0, Essex have really fought their way back into things.

  8. 50 runs

Half-century for Dom Sibleypublished at 12:23 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Northants 451, Warwickshire 122-2

It comes in the 60th over and it has taken almost four hours, but Dom Sibley finally has his half-century.

It's his 48th first-class 50. But, even by his own safety-first standards, this has been a particularly slow one. 175 balls. Two boundaries.

The 50 stand with Will Rhodes quickly follows.

  9. wicket

    WICKET - Holland c Pepper b Harmer 37published at 12:17 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 126-3

Is the match moving back into Essex's control?

Simon Harmer gets one to turn and bounce and he catches Ian Holland in two minds. Unsure whether to defend or pull it off the back foot, he only succeeds in letting the ball loop into the hands of Michael Pepper at short leg.

Holland's resistance last night and this morning is broken after 95 balls, playing the safe hand compared to the boundaries at the other end.

A tenth wicket of the match for Harmer. He's going to be bowling at one end for as long as this game goes on.

  10. wicket

    WICKET - Croft c Bracey b Higgins 80published at 12:15 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Gloucestershire 337, Lancashire 282-6

Steven Croft departs, 20 short of a century, with Lancashire also 20 short of a third batting point.

It id a second wicket for Ryan Higgins, who has the 37-year-old former Lancashire skipper caught behind.

Luke Wood comes in to join George Balderson (17) with Lancs still trailing by 55.

  11. wicket

    WICKET - Fuller c Harmer b Beard 18published at 12:14 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 126-2

    James Fuller's cameo is over.

Fuller hit two fours and a six and scored at more than a run a ball, but he guides one from Aaron Beard into Simon Harmer's safe hands at second slip.

Has Hampshire's decision to send Fuller up the order paid off? A tricky one to call.

  12. 100 runs

for Daniel Bell-Drummondpublished at 12:13 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 210-2

There it is, three figures for the Kent batter.

Daniel Bell-Drummond guides one through midwicket to bring up the 14th first-class ton of his career, this one coming off 195 balls.

Kent need him to go really big here, though.

  13. WORCESTERSHIRE ALL OUTpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Worcestershire 271 & 199, Glamorgan 139

Worcestershire lose their last two wickets in successive balls - and that leaves Glamorgan needing 332 to win.

Andrew Salter gets the third Glamorgan wicket of the morning to end an entertaining little cameo innings from Charlie Morris.

The Worcestershire paceman is bowled for 29, having shared a stand of 33 with young spinner Josh Baker (25).

But Dillon Pennington then fires his first ball straight back at Salter - and that's that.

Glamy will have to make the largest score of the game to win this - but they have the best part of two days to do it.

  14. Windy at Wantage Roadpublished at 12:07 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Northants 451, Warwickshire 109-2

It's a quite cold blustery day in Northampton, where they have had their first enforced delay.

Umpire Alex Wharf's Panama hat was blown off by one particularly forceful gust - and he had to chase after it to get it back.

Dom Sibley is unmoved. 45 so far in three and a half hours, from 162 balls. Two fours,

  15. 50 runs

for Jack Leaningpublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Surrey 673-7 dec v Kent 196-2

A very good first hour for Kent pair Daniel Bell-Drummond and Jack Leaning. Leaning has now joined his partner as a half-century maker in this innings.

After being circumspect for much of his time at the crease, Leaning comes down the pitch to Ryan Jacks and launches him over the top to bring up his 50 off 133 balls.

They have added 49 runs ths morning to take their third-wicket partnership to 138.

  16. Quiet first hour at Trent Bridgepublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Notts 551-8 dec, Middlesex 145-5

Middlesex have had a solid first hour at Trent Bridge in the meeting of Division Two's top two.

Max Holden (35) and John Simpson (20) remain unparted as the visitors attempt to bat themselves to a positon of safety.

Their first target is the 402 needed to avoid being asked to follow on.

  17. More attacking intent from Hampshirepublished at 11:51 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 105-1

The 100 is up thanks to three from Ian Holland. He has moved to 29 off 79 balls.

He has been joined at the crease by James Fuller. He batted at nine in the first innings but has been moved well up the order, presumably to keep up the attack and look for some boundaries.

  18. wicket

    WICKET - Organ b Harmer 65published at 11:46 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Essex 238 & 223 v Hampshire 163 & 97-1

    Big breakthrough at Chelmsford!

The battle between Felix Organ and Simon Harmer continues and this time, the South Africa spinner comes out on top.

Organ goes to cut but the ball turns sharply and sees his off-stump uprooted.

The batter's fine knock ends off 79 balls while Harmer claims his first wicket of the innings and the 19th successive wicket to fall to spin in the match.

  19. wicket

    WICKET - Benjamin c Keogh b Kerrigan 14published at 11:42 British Summer Time 28 June 2022

    Northants 451, Warwickshire 93-2

Simon Kerrigan takes the first wicket of the day at Wantage Road.

Chris Benjamin advances to try and lift the former Lancashire spinner over the top, does not quite get hold of it and holes out to Rob Keogh to a well-placed deepish mid-off.

It's the first wicket of the season (in his 99th over) for the once-capped former England Test player - and was clearly very well received by his team-mates.

New man in is skipper Will Rhodes, promoted up the order in the absence of the injured Sam Hain.
