    Kent v Northants 31-1

Northants have settled since the early loss of Ricardo Vasconcelos.

Ryan Rickleton, the South African, is alongside him playing his second game for Northants.

Simon Harmer is now into the attack for Essex following his 15 wickets in their last Championship game.

Sussex are going along at six an over against Leicestershire, with Ali Orr 25 and Tom Haines 24, in their 61-0 at Hove.

Chris Rushworth has struck a double blow for Durham, removing Luis Reece and Billy Godleman for five and three - the latter a first victim for 19-year-old keeper Tom Mackintosh, and Derbyshire are 21-2 in the 12th over.

Is Dom Sibley a convert to Bazball?

He carves Kyle Abbott away square for four and then drills the next ball back past the bowler for the ninth boundary of his innings so far.

Sibley has 41 off 32 - and Alex Davies is still one not out at the other end.

    Yorkshire 20-2 v Surrey

England have cleared Jamie Overton and Ben Foakes to play at Scarborough as the latter waits patiently behind the stumps for an edge as the former bowls his opening over, relieving Dan Worrall.

Nothing doing yet, but it's a maiden from the fast bowler to Adam Lyth, who remains on 15 not out.

WICKET Renshaw c Jones b Bailey 13published at 11:37 British Summer Time 11 July 2022

    Lancs v Somerset 16-2

    Second strike for Lancashire.

Tom Bailey again over the wicket to a leftie, this time Matt Renshaw.

He's pushing quite hard at this length ball and a healthy edge is juggled a fraction but held again but Rob Jones, this time to his left.

    Hampshire v Warwicks 35-0

The boundaries keep coming at the Ageas Bowl and Dom Sibley has seven of them so far in his 32 off 27 balls.

Dent lbw Porter 6 (Essex v Gloucs 19-2)

    Jamie PorterImage source, Rex Features

No doubt about that. Jamie Porter angles the ball in from round the wicket, beats Chris Dent's defensive prod and he is struck right in front. Poor start by the visitors, with both openers gone in less than seven overs.

Wharton lbw Lawes 3 (Yorkshire 20-2 v Surrey)

From Mike: "I'm afraid I have to take responsibility for Kent fielding first in the searing heat. No-one in the cashless Canterbury ground had a coin, so I had to lend Sam Billings a pound to toss up with. Northants duly won the toss and batted. PS He did give me back my pound. #bbccricket, external"

    Hampshire v Warwicks 26-0

The outside edge of Dom Sibley's bat is being given a good workout this morning as he again squirts Keith Barker away towards third man for four.

The next ball is much more convincingly played, a superb on-drive, which takes the Warwickshire opener to 23 off 18 balls - almost a Bazball rate of scoring.

By contract, the normally aggressive Alex Davies has one run from 13 at the other end.

    Lancs v Somerset 7-1

Lancashire have been sent into the field at sunny Southport but they strike in the fifth over.

The ever-reliable Tom Bailey squares up Steve Davies and he edges low to second slip.

Good catch from Rob Jones leaning forward.

  15. Division Two round-uppublished at 11:20 British Summer Time 11 July 2022

Leaders Nottinghamshire have their first wicket at Sophia Gardens with Luke Fletcher trapping David Lloyd lbw for six - Glamorgan are 10-1 in the fifth over.

Sussex have made a positive start against Leicestershire and are 25-0 in the fifth, with Ali Orr 13 not out.

James Wharton is in at three for Yorkshire following the early dismissal of George Hill and plays out a maiden by Dan Worrall.

A sudden injection of tempo follows as Adam Lyth pulls Tom Lawes over square leg for six and repeats the shot next ball and adds four despite not making such a good contact.

From Ralph: "#bbccricket, external Given the heatwave I hope umpires or the @ECB_cricket, external can adapt over-rate penalties"

What over-rate penalties? Far too lenient as it is.

But hopefully there will be lots of spin sent down and we can rattle through the overs.

    Essex v Gloucs 4-0

    Shane SnaterImage source, Rex Features

Winless Gloucestershire chose to bat first at Chelmsford and Chris Dent has just hit the game's first boundary off Shane Snater. Jamie Porter started with a maiden to Marcus Harris from the other end.

  20. Postpublished at 11:07 British Summer Time 11 July 2022

    Hampshire v Warwicks 11-0

A very positive start by Dom Sibley, who collects two boundaries in Keith Barker's opening over at the Ageas Bowl, the first from a no-ball by the former Warwickshire left-armer. Not exactly convincing, though, as both ran away past the slips from thick edges.
