Imam ul-Haq takes a couple of steps down the pitch to kill any spin obtained by Graeme van Buuren, but also turns the ball past short leg for a single to reach a 108-ball fifty in his first Somerset innings.
Michael Finan has taken a return catch to remove Matthew Montgomery for 44, but Nottinghamshire are 229-3 - with Joe Clarke on 62 - against Leicestershire, a lead of 337.
Durham are 110-2 at Derby following a Ben Aitchison maiden to Michael Jones, who is 69 not out.
Eddie Byrom has hit back-to-back fours off Joe Leach and Glamorgan are 13-0 in the third over, replying to Worcestershire's 454-9 declared.

One quality Imam ul-Haq certainly doesn't lack is patience.
Gloucestershire really have the scoring rate tied down at the moment, but the Somerset opener is biding his time and a single off Graeme van Buuren takes him to 44 not out and the total to 100.
Hants 354-9 v Northants
Ben Sanderson is back with the second new ball.
James Fuller has a hack at him and spoons up a catch to mid-on.
Shortly beforehand, Hants brought up their fourth point and this wicket secure Northants their full haul.

Lancashire call up leg-spinner Matt Parkinson and Finlay Bean sweeps his second delivery away for four.
There are three more for the left-hander through point later in the over as he moves to 22 not out, one fewer than partner George Hill.

A boundary for Gareth Roderick off Timm van der Gugten and Worcestershire decide enough is enough.
Roderick remains unbeaten on 172, made from 348 balls, with 22 fours. It's a new career-best for him.

He’s ploughed on wirh his maiden first-class hundred and is turning it into a big one.
He pulls Grant Stewart for his 17th four to reach another milestone.
In Stewart’s previous over he was pulled for consecutive sixes by Sam Cook at the other end.
Essex really rubbing it in now.
Declaration can’t be too far away.

Durham could be facing the prospect of a points deduction because Australian batter Nic Maddinson's blade appears to have failed the size test.
He'd been out in the middle for a few minutes and had one run to his name when umpire Hassan Adnan decided to put his bat through the gauge but it would not fit.
The bat was removed from the field by match referee Mike Smith, who has just had a meeting with the Durham coach James Franklin and director of cricket Marcus North.
The bat will be re-examined at the end of the day and if it will not go through the size gauge again it will be sent off to the ECB for examination and they will decide which punishment should be handed down.
It is understood the punishment is equivalent to the points gained for a win in each particular competition.
Derbyshire lost two points recently for a similar issue in the One Day Cup. The winning points on offer in the County Championship are 16.
Durham can only hope the bat may have swelled in the damp conditions, or perhaps the gauge was sticky. But that, I think, is unlikely.
