Sussex are struggling on 34-3 against Durham - Tom Clark the last to go, lbw to Ben Raine for two.

    Hampshire v Kent 32-5

    No hat-trick for Kyle Abbott.

Joey Evison, man of the match in the Royal London Cup final, gets well forward and deals with another full ball.

  3. wicket

WICKET Hain c Charlesworth b Zafar 10published at 12:13 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 64-3

Out! Gloucester have three wickets in the session.

Sam Hain tries to steer the ball through the on side and Ben Charlesworth takes a brilliant diving catch at forward short leg.

What a grab. That ball was almost past him.

The new batter is Will Rhodes.

  4. wicket

WICKET Finch lbw Abbott 0published at 12:13 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Hampshire v Kent 32-5

    Two in two!

Kyle Abbott thunders one into the pads of Harry Finch, who looks at the inside edge of his bat as he walks off.

    Looked out to me...

  5. Hain on the attackpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 64-2

Shot! Hain leans back and forces Dale away behind point for his first boundary.

Quite easily the best stroke he's played in quite a laborious innings to date.

  6. wicket

    WICKET ul-Haq c Gay b White 25published at 12:12 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Somerset 49-1 v Northants

In the 25th over, Northants make their first breakthrough as Imam ul-Haq edges to Emilio Gay at second slip.

That was a good delivery by Jack White, bowled from round the wicket, which just did enough to remove the Pakistan opener.

  7. Postpublished at 12:12 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Surrey 61-2 v Yorkshire

Ryan Patel loves the cover drive.

He doesn't get his front foot far enough across to that one but make a good enough contact to collect four runs off Jordan Thompson.

He progresses to 37 not out.

  8. wicket

WICKET Robinson b Abbott 4published at 12:11 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Hampshire v Kent 32-4

    That's out.

Ollie Robinson drives loosely at Kyle Abbott, and is castled as the ball jags back between bat and pad.

The Hampshire seamer stands triumphant with his arms outstretched - the home side are well on top now.

  9. Near miss for Gloucesterpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 59-2

A heart in mouth moment as Hain is down the pitch to Zafar and skews the ball over the slips off the toe of the bat and down to backward point for one.

Jack Taylor just might have got a fingertip to that.

  10. Postpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Worcs 79-4 v Notts

Hutton has really put a shift in this morning. Nine overs bowled for just 16 runs.

D'Oliveira picks up a run from Mullaney, pushing the ball gently through the off side.

An appeal for caught behind is turned down. Looks like the batter played inside the line.

Barnard tries to hack the ball through the off side and picks up a fairly streaky single off the last ball of the over.

  11. Postpublished at 12:06 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Hampshire v Kent 32-3

Ollie Robinson gets off the mark with a sumptuous on drive after Kyle Abbott pushes one up.

    Shot of the morning that.

  12. wicket

WICKET Amla c Fraine b Patterson 14published at 12:03 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Surrey 53-2 v Yorkshire

There is the second breakthrough that Yorkshire wanted.

Hashim Amla jabs uncertainly at a good ball from Steven Patterson and Will Fraine takes the catch in both hands turning to his left at second slip.

England's Ollie Pope is the new batter and is off the mark with four, flicked away to fine leg.

  13. wicket

WICKET Vilas lbw Harmer 8published at 12:03 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Essex v Lancs 58-4

Simon Harmer does what Simon Harmer does.

Dane Vilas goes back to the South African tweaker, it spins back and the Lancashire man is plumb in front.

George Bell strides to the crease on his first-class debut.

  14. Postpublished at 12:01 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 55-2

Sam Hain is trying to squeeze Zafar for singles square on either side of the wicket but he's not able to get the ball away.

He picks up his third run off the last ball of the over with a scoop to leg.

    He's faced 58.

  15. Postpublished at 11:59 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Surrey 52-1 v Yorkshire

About half an hour left in the morning session at the Micky Stewart Oval.

Ben Mike's four overs cost 27 so Yorkshire call up Jordan Thompson for his second spell of the morning.

Can he produce a second breakthrough which will make their lunch taste all the better?

  16. Postpublished at 11:57 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Gloucs v Warwks 54-2

Dom Sibley brings up the Warwickshire 50 with a clip to leg off the bowling of Zafar for two runs.

At the other end, Dale tries to tempt Sibley outside off stump - but to no avail.

He's 27 not out and (dare I say it) looking comfortable.

Make that 29 - as he drives Dale to long off for two.

    Surrey 51-1 v Yorkshire

    Ryan PatelImage source, Rex Features

Four, four, four for Ryan Patel.

The first is stroked through the covers, but the second is a thick edge which runs away to third man.

Ben Mike attempts a yorker, but oversteps again, and Patel is able to glide it past the slips for another boundary as Surrey's total passes 50 in the 19th over.

Yorkshire ask the umpires to have a look at the ball.

  18. wicket

WICKET Leaning b Abbott 8published at 11:49 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Hampshire v Kent 28-3

Kent are in all sorts of bother now.

Jack Leaning battled hard, but he falls to Kyle Abbott, having made just eight from 57 balls.

It was a fairly straight ball - Leaning just missed it.

  19. wicket

WICKET Haynes c Moores b Mullaney 33published at 11:49 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Worcs 70-4 v Notts

That's called the curse of the commentator.

Jack Haynes is forward to block a full ball from the Notts skipper, which nibbles away and takes the edge.

The ball goes straight through at waist height to the keeper, who parries it and then takes the catch.

A very productive first over for the skipper - and Ed Barnard joins D'Oliveira in the middle.

  20. Postpublished at 11:48 British Summer Time 20 September 2022

    Essex v Lancs 50-3

    Simon HarmerImage source, Rex Features

A first sight of Simon Harmer at Chelmsford, and he is immediately causing problems.

Dane Vilas prods at Harmer's first ball, and it skews to the right hand of short-leg, but it goes down. A tough chance, but a chance all the same.
