Neil Wagner has now lost a wicket to a no-ball and been given a reprieve by one in the same Test.
Frustration for Broad and England. That would have been the 1,000th wicket from the Broad-Anderson combination as well.

Oh dear. It wasn't Conway but Jack Leach did just take a catch down at a more conventional fine leg after Wagner took on the short ball.
Leach juggled it before eventually holding on but the celebrations are cut short as the umpire signals a no-ball. Broad overstepped.

Another glorious day in the Mount, if anything hotter than yesterday. A day for batting, before possibly a night to be bowling.
An interesting plan hatched by England. Devon Conway likes to whip aerially off his pads, so the long leg fielder is floating 10 or 15 yards in from the boundary. Jack Leach is the man asked to do the job and has done a lot of leather-chasing.
Stuart Broad makes a very good stop to help out his old buddy Jimmy Anderson, diving to his left from mid-on.
Good effort but it comes at a cost, his knee is now bleeding through his whites. The sacrifices we make for friends...
Wagner 11, Conway 29
I was just starting to type that Broad has struggled with his line so far today, straying onto the pads too often.
However, he adjusts nice and ends the over with a beauty that Wagner plays and misses at. The radar seems to be working again.
Keep working on them, Pip. We heard about the start of the South American cricket revolution last night, surely getting Central and North America on board as well can't be too tricky...

I’ll be watching the Test over a few tacos and a mezcal from Mexico City! Haven’t managed to convince any Mexicans to watch with me yet, but I’ll get them eventually.

Unsurprisingly, the pink ball is doing decidedly less so far this morning than it was under the lights last night.
Nightwatchman Neil Wagner did inside edge Anderson's first ball just before missing that full ball that led to the review. But the ball isn't doing too much to concern the batting side so far.
NZ 52-3
Yep, the ball did pitch a couple of centimetres outside leg. Not out and England lose a review.
NZ 52-3
Has Jimmy Anderson got another one? England think he might well have as he strikes Neil Wagner on the pad.
The umpire disagrees but Ben Stokes sends it upstairs. It all depends on where it pitched. I fancy it was outside leg.

In Guatemala, about to tuck into an evening of beers and cricket following. Currently preaching about how Anderson is the true GOAT to locals. Think they’re getting it…..

Same again from Conway. Too straight from Broad and he flicks the ball fine for four more.
Leach is a few paces off the rope and the outfield is quick so he can't get round in time.
Four more! Lovely drive, punched back down the ground by Conway. Just the start New Zealand would've wanted.

Nice start for New Zealand as Devon Conway flicks the ball over his pads, fine and past the dive of Jack Leach for four.
Conway still being there is perhaps the one big disappointment for England from last night. The left-hander was dropped by Zak Crawley off the bowling of Jimmy Anderson.
Here we go. The players are out, the sun is shining and Stuart Broad is ready to bowl the first over of day two at the Bay Oval.
That might be a bit of a stretch, Daniel, but frankly I'm ruling nothing out when it comes to this team!

Daniel Owens: Fully expect to wake up tomorrow and see that we’ve bowled New Zealand out for 150, before hitting a quick fire 300-4 declared off 36 overs leaving New Zealand just over three days to chase 450.
England bowler Stuart Broad, who has returned to the side after missing the Pakistan series for the birth of his first child, speaking to BT Sport: "It has been an incredible few months - something I feel very lucky and blessed to have been there for first few months. But it is great to be back with the group. The guys really enjoyed Pakistan and played great cricket. We are trying to carry that on."
Broad and James Anderson are on the brink of breaking the record of most wicket as a bowling partnership in Tests, currently sitting on 999.
"It is a lot isn't it," Broad said. "It is really special.
"The way Jimmy bowled last night there is no stopping him. It was wonderful be at mid-on."

When the ball nips around as much as it did last night the bowlers have a simple job. They were brilliant.
It will not do as much today. What will Ben Stokes' plans be? Will he bowl himself? Will Jack Leach have a part to play?
It was then over to the seamers to do their worst under the lights - and they didn't disappoint.
Ollie Robinson made the initial breakthrough before Jimmy Anderson took two quick wickets, including the prized scalp of Kane Williamson, to leave New Zealand 37-3 at stumps.
England on top then going into day two but with batting expected to be far easier first up, they will hope to claw their way towards first-innings parity.
