I just remembered that both Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne are playing today, as they both do some fielding on the boundary, and I am not emotionally prepared to watch those two bat again yet.

Had way too much of that last winter.

Mitchell Starc has been exceptional today. It shows the value of his position in this team.

He finished his seventh over after 21 in the innings, and he's just bowled out with only 45 against his name.

    Contrasting emotions for Luke Wood.

He nails a cover drive for four off Mitchell Starc, before setting off for a quick single next ball and somehow absolutely stacks it.

    Cricket, the great leveller.

Adam Zampa was outstanding again. I love him as a bowler. He is constantly challenging the batter and stumps.

Adam Zampa's bowling: 28% full, 72% good length and 0% short. 10 overs, 0 maidens, went for 55 runs, took 3 wickets with an economy of 5.50.Image source, Getty Images

Luke Wood is the new batter for England, on his ODI debut.

David Willey is the key now though. 300 looks unlikely but if he can whack a few here, that'll be precious for England.

Adam Zampa finishes his 10-over spell with 3-55.

It was beautiful clean striking from Dawid Malan. That was one of few shots he hasn't connected with.

Malan wouldn't have been on strike if it wasn't from the previous save from Ashton Agar. It is funny how cricket works.

A stunning knock comes to an end.

Malan goes for one six too many and holes out to long-on, where Ashton Agar takes a much easier catch than the piece of fielding he did just now.

He looks frustrated to not be there at the end but he's really saved England today. 134 from 128 balls, and it was all class.

That is unreal. It is a phenomenal save.

    That is freakish.

Oh, a phenomenal piece of work from Ashton Agar. That is remarkable.

He's on the square leg boundary and Dawid Malan has absolutely nailed one out to him, and I mean nailed it.

Agar leaps full stretch, so that he's literally mid-air outside the boundary, and somehow saves the six. So, so good.

That is a terrific shot from someone who is caught on the crease. He's not forward or back, he's just throwing his hands at the ball.

    Stand and deliver, David Willey.

Minimal footwork and he just smashes Pat Cummins through the covers for four. He looks like he enjoyed that one.

That is a long, long way back. He has put some hurt on that ball!

Oh my word. A huge hit into the leg side off Adam Zampa, slog swept right back into the stands.

That sounded good. Again, Malan looks at the ground after hitting it as if to say, "Yep, nailed it".

He must have thought that was coming back a little bit quicker than it was. It wasn't nailed at him, but it was still a sharp return catch.

Ooh! Hit back to Mitchell Starc in his follow through but he's nowhere near it, the ball hitting him on the forearm.

It wasn't hit that hard by Willey, a bit of a miscue, which took Starc by surprise. He's disappointed with that.

  19. Eng 232-7published at 42 overs

David Willey calmly blocks out the rest of the over.

It's a real test for my brain to constantly differ between David and Dawid when I've been up since 2.30am.

Dawid Malan knew he got that so well he didn't even look up. He just looked straight down at the ground.
