This has been an absolute showcase from Dawid Malan.
Oh, that's class.
In the slot from Ashton Agar and Dawid Malan launches it over mid-wicket for six without even looking at the ball.
He gets some criticism, but when he's in, he is so good to watch.

You look at how England have lost regular wickets and then you look at the scoreboard and wonder how they've scored 225.
Dawid Malan has been excellent.
My boyfriend's alarm going off in the next room has reminded me that I should update people who may just be waking up or joining us on the commute.
England slipped to 66-4 and 118-5, with Jos Buttler scoring 29 but nobody else passing 20. Dawid Malan, though, has been very solid and stayed there through it all, making his way to his second ODI hundred.
There have been glimpses of partnerships but the Aussies have chipped away regularly with wickets at key times, and stalled any real threats from England. Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa have two wickets each.

It will be strange emotions for Dawid Malan.
He'll be happy to score a century but on the other side he'll almost be putting his middle finger up to the selectors saying "you should have picked me".
I'm sure there will be emotions like that going through his head because this series is being played in the shadows of the T20 World Cup. It is almost a marriage of convenience that England are in the country at the time.

David Willey smashes a boundary of his own, driving Ashton Agar firmly to the cover boundary.
And then some real luck for Malan! He gets the streakiest of streaky edges past the stumps, missing by a whisker, and runs three.
A productive over.

It was excellent composure from Dawid Malan. He has just anchored the innings and his strike-rate hasn't changed much throughout this innings, he's just stayed in a constant gear.

That is a high-class hundred from Dawid Malan.
Eng 207-7
A second ODI century for England's rock at number three and that is a classy innings.
He's been so composed, playing some glorious shots around anchoring the innings - he's reached the milestone from 107 balls.
If he can bat another 10 overs, England will have something decent to defend.
Another single takes him to 99, and David Willey sensibly blocks the last ball to make sure Malan is on strike for the next.
Feels like he's been in the 90s for hours!

Dawid Malan has been outstanding while the others have crumbled. He's just played wonderful cricket shots. When he's played and missed he's missed by a mile.
A quick single and Malan's on to 98.
He's not in a rush.

England have just lost wickets at regular wickets and haven't been able to build a big partnership.
Ashton Agar zips through an over that goes for just three, but Dawid Malan is on strike on 97 for the start of the next...

England would take 250 from here because if they lose Dawid Malan they will be worried about getting bowled out.
We talk about 300 but England have just been pegged back by the wickets they've lost.

Adam Zampa is just doing the job for Australia again. He's so consistent.
To be fair, David Willey is a reliable number nine.
He blocks his first ball safely enough, can he stick around with Malan and get England up to a defendable total?

England keep losing wickets when they are starting to build partnerships and are looking comfortable. Jos Buttler is the second-highest scorer with 29 at the moment.
You fear for England.

Every time it looks like England are getting back into it they lose a wicket.
