Marnus Labuschagne has now concluded his batting stint for Glamorgan before he links up with the Australia squad.

He has scored 502 runs in eight innings at an average of 71.71 with two centuries and two fifties.

He really does love batting and he is going to be someone England will have to be wary of in the Ashes.

  2. wicket

WICKET Taylor st Robinson b Patel 0published at 16:58 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Gloucestershire 58-4 - target 426

Oh boy. Jack Taylor comes forward in defence, misses the ball and has been stumped by Ollie Robinson off Ajaz Patel for a golden duck.

He lingers for a long time. I suspect his weight was on his toes and his heel was in the air.

Four wickets in the first hour of this session. James Bracey is in. 32 overs to go. You know what I'm thinking?

  3. wicket

WICKET Waite lbw Mulder 22published at 16:58 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Worcs 228-6 - target 271

"Fancy a tie? We haven't had one of those for a while," says BBC Radio Leicester's Richard Rae as Matthew Waite departs.

Wiaan Mulder beats the all-rounder for pace and it was a straightforward decision for the umpire.

    We like a plot twist.

    Worcs 228-5 - target 271

Brett D'Oliveira drives the final ball of Josh Davey's latest over and it beats the diving fielder and runs away for four. It's only the second boundary of his 96-ball innings but he won't care one single jot about that if he can stay there and see Worcestershire to victory.

  7. 150 runs

for Kiran Carlsonpublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Sussex 481 v Glamorgan 123 & 416-4

    Well batted Kiran Carlson!

He lofts one from James Coles into a big gap at midwicket to bring up his 150.

It has come off 208 balls and he shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.

  8. 50 runs

up for Gloucestershirepublished at 16:51 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Gloucestershire 52-2 - target 426

Miles Hammond deflly guides a full-toss from Ajaz Patel away through the covers for four to bring up the half-century.

Just another seven and a half of those needed. Hammond has 16, Marcus Harris is on 27.

Chris Wright strays onto the pads and Matthew Waite whips it away through square leg for four as Worcestershire inch ever closer to their target. Just 49 more required.

    Derbyshire 179-5 v Lancashire 103-2 (8 overs)

Luke Wells looks like he is trying to do this on his own for the Lightning.

He has 63 from 29 balls with nine fours and three maximums.

Zaman Khan has made inroads for the Falcons, having George Bell caught for 14 and running out Steven Croft for 11, but Lancs need just over a run a ball.

    Listen to the climax here.

WICKET Labuschagne lbw b Coles 138published at 16:44 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Sussex 481 v Glamorgan 123 & 411-4

    Got him!

Marnus Labuschagne's innings is ended by young James Coles.

The left-arm spinner spears one in and traps Labuschagne in front of leg stump and this fourth wicket partnership of 288 is finally ended.

Labuschagne leaves the final time with the bat for Glamorgan, having batted for almost five-and-a-half hours, facing 244 balls with 16 fours and four sixes.

A terrific knock that has dragged his side back into the game.

  12. Postpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Gloucestershire 48-2 - target 426

Spinner Ajaz Patel has come into the attack for Durham and four fielders are crowding around the bat.

Paul Coughlin takes the ball at the other end but pulls up halfway through his first over and heads straight to the dressing room with the physio. Ben Raine finishes his over.

131 overs remain in the match. Is that a timely boost for Gloucestershire?

Tom Westley and Alastair CookImage source, Rex Features

Alistair Cook reaches 50 for the second time in the match with a cover drive for four off Liam Patterson-White.

This one has taken 130 balls and you can bet he is doubly determined to register that first hundred of the season after missing out in the first innings.

  14. Postpublished at 16:44 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Worcs 205-5 - target 271

Leicestershire really need to plug that gap.

Chris Wright bowls and Matthew Waite simply dabs it to the right of the sole slip for four easy runs.

Every boundary is vital for Worcestershire - who need another 53 victory, which would be quite some feat, having been bowled out for 83 in their first innings.

  15. Chance!published at 16:43 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Sussex 481 v Glamorgan 123 & 411-3

Jack Carson gets one to bite and it catches the edge of Kiran Carlson's bat.

But rather than fly into the hands of either wicketkeeper Oli Carter or Steve Smith at first slip, it goes between the pair of them.

    That was a chance.

  16. Postpublished at 16:42 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Notts 442 v Essex 298 & 118-1

Alastair Cook and Tom Westley have a 50 partnership and Westley underlines it by cutting away a short one from Liam Patterson-White for four. He progresses to 30 not out.

  17. 400 up for Glamorganpublished at 16:37 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Sussex 481 v Glamorgan 123 & 406-3

Marnus Labuschagne brings up the 400 in fine style as he dances down the wicket to Jack Carson and plants him over mid-off for a boundary.

Carson's two wickets in two balls this morning feels like a long time ago.

And next ball, Labuschagne uses his feet again and gets even more purchase as this goes for six.

  18. Postpublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Worcs 209-5 - target 271

Brett D'Oliveira pinches a single from the last ball of a Josh Davey over. He will remain on strike against Chris Wright.

Worcestershire need their captain to play a captain's innings now - 62 more needed.

  19. Postpublished at 16:30 British Summer Time 20 May 2023

    Gloucestershire 36-2 - target 426

Five boundaries off 16 balls for the hosts, some streakier than others, admittedly, have taken the target under 400 for the first time.

Psychologically that could be absolutely... ok, you're right, it won't matter a bit.

Marcus Harris has 18, Miles Hammond has four. But Matty Potts and Ben Raine are discomfiting them both at regular intervals.

Another tidy over from Liam Patterson-White, just a single for Alastair Cook added. He is 42 not out and Tom Westley has 22. The Essex deficit is now 39.
