David Bedingham steers Josh Shaw down to third man for four as he and Michael Jones post a half-century stand from just 49 balls.
The next one is square cut for four before Bedingham is caught at cover by Chris Dent for 29 from a leading edge.
The visitors lead by 331 as Ollie Robinson joins Michael Jones, who is 97 not out.

This effort has come off 127 balls and he has really motored along since lunch.
Given the match situation and being stand-in captain for this match, Carlson will be mightily pleased with this innings.

The Falcons have recovered to reach 26-1 off three overs with Wayne Madsen hitting a six and two fours off Wood for his 17 from 12 balls.
The Lightning are of course without Jos Buttler, Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone who are at the IPL while Saqib Mahmood is ill.

Hampshire beat Northants by an innings and 270 runs at Wantage Road last month. It might be some while before these two sides next face off in the County Championship.

Momentum shifts back towards Leicestershire at New Road as Adam Hose pushes forward and edges Wiaan Mulder to the keeper.
It was a fine innings - including a six and 14 fours - but Hose's 119 for Warwickshire against Notts remains his sole first-class century.
He put on 131 with Gareth Roderick, who is 46 not out, and has now been joined by Brett D'Oliveira.

A classic dismissal for a tall bowler.
Craig Overton hits the deck hard and generates that bit of extra bounce for just short of a length.
It gets Luke Hollman fending at it and the ball disappears into the hands of Tom Lammonby low down at third slip.
Middlesex had batted hard since lunch, but Somerset are now three wickets from victory.
