England's women are in action right now as they look to keep their Ashes hopes alive against Australia in the third T20 of their multi-format series at Lord's.

They have restricted Australia to 155-7 from their 20 overs.

  3. 'I got in a decent rhythm'published at 20:13 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Woakes on 100 Test wickets in England: "It's nice to tick that off I suppose but as I said about the conditions, they were certainly favourable to myself, that's the way I like to bowl but obviously, you still have to do the job and put the ball in the right areas and I felt like I got in a decent rhythm coming up the hill and thankfully, I could do a job for the team."

On Travis Head's knock: "It's never a nice position to be in as a bowler when a set batter is in, batting with the tail. We say Stokesy do it on a number of occasions, he's done it in this game as well, it's tricky for the fielding team when a guy is playing so well like that, but certainly not [tetchy], you try and think on your toes, seeing what the best situation is and see what the best opportunity is. I think the most important thing was we were still trying to get him out, not trying to hide the ball too much, other than at the end of the over where we really tried to get him out. He batted well and you have to doff your cap occasionally."

A reminder if you're tuning in late that play did not get underway until shortly before 17:00 BST. England had six wickets to take today. Here's how they got them.

  5. 'Happy to change my 5-0 prediction...'published at 20:00 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Glenn McGrath
Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special

Every Test match in this series has been riveting and down the the wire. I like to class myself as an adaptable predictor. If England do get up and win this Test match tomorrow I am happy to change my prediction from 5-0 to 4-1. Those chances in the first innings in the context of this match could be costly for Australia but they do still have a chance to win here.

  6. 'Conditions helped us'published at 19:55 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

More from Chris Woakes to BBC Sport: "I think we always thought with the weather around, obviously I mean naturally, when you are bowling and the clouds are around and it has been raining all day, it's actually a good time to get out there and have a bowl and it certainly felt like the conditions could help us.

"We didn't know how long we would be out there for, but we felt that if we could get out there, even albeit for an hour, and take a couple of wickets, it would certainly help us in this game. Thankfully, we managed to bowl them out.

"We're obviously looking at if we had an opportunity to bowl at them, we'd try and take as many wickets as possibly can. We know how this team plays, we try to be aggressive, we try to get on the front foot and try and get on top of the opposition, if that opportunity arises and we certainly had that opportunity today.

"It's easy to put too much pressure on yourselves in those positions where you think 'God, we've got to bowl them out' and the conditions are helpful, we put the ball in the right areas, stuck to the process, stuck to the plan and thankfully, we got some rewards."

    Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special

You want England to play with a bit of sense at times tomorrow.

I think England will get there but it will be dramatic. We're in for a few hairy moments.

  8. 'We are in a good position'published at 19:52 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

England all-rounder Chris Woakes to BBC Sport: "I'd like to think we're in a really good position, obviously we've still got another 220 runs to chase to win this Test match, but I think if we were given this opportunity at the end of the first innings, I think we would've taken it.

"I think the fact that we've come out here today and the opportunity was put in front of us to bowl in decent bowling conditions, I think we did well to obviously bowl them out."

    Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special

England have had a perfect day.Unless England make a lot of mistakes - and they do have it in them to do so - I think they have enough to chase this down.

  10. Postpublished at 19:45 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Chris Woakes has just spoken to BBC Sport so we'll have his thoughts with you in due course.

  11. Postpublished at 19:44 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Glenn McGrath
Ex-Australia bowler on BBC Test Match Special

The scoreboard will not bother England. They will play without fear. Australia have to remain patient, there's enough variable bounce in this pitch and they cannot go searching for wickets because they will be punished. There's a few more twists and turns in this match yet.

  12. Postpublished at 19:44 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

    Michael Vaughan
Former England captain on BBC Test Match Special

Australia will challenge England because they will bowl some good balls but England have to with the mentality that they have to win. England have to get the runs. Australia will hope the pitch cracks open a little, but it's day four and looks like it will okay.

The way England bat, they love chasing. It's there for the taking.

    Phil Tufnell
Former England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

The bowling from the likes of Stuart Broad, Mark Wood, Chris Woakes, you get the feeling that the momentum is with England now.

Once they get something in their head, this England side, it takes a lot to change that. It was worth trying to get Head out legitmately.

England made full use of these conditions. You've got to make full use of it and they will definitely be the happier dressing room.

  15. Postpublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Ben Duckett turned to look over his shoulder as he walked off the field with the Australian players not far behind. A choice comment made in his direction, possibly.

  16. Eng 27-0 at stumpspublished at 19:32 British Summer Time 8 July 2023

Ben Duckett safely dabs Scott Boland's final ball into the leg side.

    That's stumps.

  17. Eng 27-0published at 4.5 overs

Ben Duckett flicks Scott Boland to mid-on and next ball is hit on the thigh. No runs.

    One ball left to survive.

  18. Eng 27-0published at 4.3 overs

Scott Boland's third ball of the over finds the edge of Ben Duckett's bat, but once again it falls short of the slip cordon. He's played that with reasonably soft hands.

  19. Eng 26-0published at 4.2 overs

Scott Boland two balls into what is surely the final over of the day.

A single apiece for Ben Duckket and Zak Crawley.

Here's those back-to-back boundaries from Duckett from a few moments ago.
