Head has used the pace of Mark Wood. It's so tough to bowl at a batter like Travis Head when he's playing like this.
Travis Head swivels on his heels like a flamenco dancer, and lifts a Mark Wood bouncer high into the stands beyond square leg.

You feel like a 250 chase would be even stevens on a wicket like this.

Stephan Shemilt says if England get out to bat, they should send the Nighthawk in to open the batting. Try and get a quick 20 or 30.

At least if England are batting tonight, they will be batting in 'nice batting conditions.' You would rather bat in this than what Australia had an hour and a half ago.
Murphy lbw b Broad 11 (Aus 211-9)
Well bowled by Stuart Broad, who angled it into middle and leg. Height was the only issue, really, but the ball-tracking technology has it down as umpire's call.
The bespectacled Todd Murphy is on his way back to the pavilion.

The only thing I'm worried about is height. Broad did the celebrappeal.

Murphy has reviewed it. Why not?
Celebrappeal from Stuart Broad after he squares up Todd Murphy strikes him on the pad in front.
It's been given out on the field.

His third delivery swings and nips and beats Murphy's outside edge.

If Australia can get another 50 or 60, I think they would be happy.
Australia have added 41 runs for ninth wicket thus far. Thanks to shots like this from Travis Head.
Mark Wood finishes with a dot to Head to give Stuart Broad, who is limbering up, a chance to bowl at Todd Murphy.
Would England prefer to chase 270 odd tomorrow in good conditions, than face a tricky period and potentially be a couple of wickets down tonight?
A rasping short ball from Mark Wood rattles Travis Head's middle finger on to the handle of the bat.
Head takes his glove off, puts the finger in his mouth, and attempts to suck the pain away.

Jon Evans: Can't help but feel England may well throw this away here. Been poor since the Cummins wicket.

The crowd has got a little nervy in the last 10 minutes, they keep anxiously checking the scoreboard as Travis Head’s aggression extends Australia’s lead.
A 50 for Travis Head sees Australia have a player scoring a half century for a tenth consecutive Test innings.
The last time they didn't was when Australia beat India in Indore in March, where Australia's second innings ended on 78-2, chasing 76, where Head ended 49*.
As sure as eggs are eggs, Travis Head squirts it down to third to keep the strike.
Sir Alastair Cook

The game has changed again here. An underrated ball is to throw the ball down the legside, but Todd Murphy can handle himself, Travis Head doesn't need to panic.
