    Starc c Brook b Wood 16 (Aus 168-7)

A short delivery to Mitchell Starc this time from Mark Wood and he spoons the ball up behind square attempting to work it round the corner.

The ball hangs in the air for an age as Harry Brook, stationed at short leg, desperately attempts to make up ground to take the catch.

He dives full length, with the helmet still on, and manages to hold on.

We saw Travis Head get out like that Lord's, not too dissimilar. Short leg just needs to go a little finer.

  3. Aus 167-6published at 58.3 overs

Mark Wood is short to Travis Head. The Aussie leftie flicks one off the splice of the bat in the direction of short leg but Harry Brook dives and misses it.

Sean Richard: Danger time for England. Too many times we've seen the tail bat England out of a game and they cannot afford to let that happen today.

  6. Aus 166-6published at 58 overs

Chris Woakes wraps up his latest over by beating the edge of Travis Head's bat with an angled delivery wide of the crease prompting more gasps from the Headingley faithful.

Chris Woakes is the 16th bowler to take 100 Test wickets in England, 15 of them have been English. The only one with a better average than Woakes is Shane Warne, who averaged 21.9.

  8. Aus 165-6published at 57.2 overs

Chris Woakes looks the most threatening bowler for England.

Mitchell Starc prods at one wide of off stump and the ball goes between third slip and gully and races away through the vacant third region for four.

That came off the face of the bat, rather than being edged.

    Valuable runs for the Aussies.

The Australia fans in the crowd have livened up after that last over. One defiantly waves an inflatable kangaroo in the air.

That flew. That was probably right on the money from Wood, that's the second ball in this Test that has flown right over Bairstow.

  11. Aus 160-6published at 56.4 overs

A waspish bouncer from Mark Wood bowled at pace. Mitchell Starc does well to get his head out of the way.

The ball keeps climbing and goes over a diving one-handed leap of Jonny Bairstow above his head and races away for four byes.

  12. Aus 152-6published at 56.2 overs

England clearly searching for an lbw with their lengths to Mitchell Starc as Mark Wood searches on a similar length to Chris Woakes.

But once again the Aussie batter is able to get some bat on it and work it away off his pads for a couple of runs.

There's a good crowd here, despite it raining for most of the day. They will be keen to see some more wickets tonight.

There were 31 overs scheduled, there are now 22 overs remaining. They've bowled eight.

  15. Aus 149-6published at 56 overs

I wouldn't describe it a exactly it as the Instagram golden hour at Headingley, Tom.

Chris Woakes' fourth ball to Mitchell Starc is worked square by the Aussie batter after he plants his foot down the pitch.

The lbw was in play if Starc had not got an inside edge on that.

Woakes is pushing and probing in search of wickets.

Chris Woakes is getting good movement in the fair, but his two wickets have come from extra bounce. England would love to get a few more tonight.

  18. Aus 147-6published at 55.1 overs

Chris Woakes is in the zone.

The first delivery of his next over is a nagging line and length and zips off the pitch away from the defensive prod of the left-handed Aussie batter.

The first few deliveries we've seen so far from Mark Wood haven't really moved that much in the air.

Mark Wood's bowling figures in his spell to clean out the Australia tail in the first innings was 4-5 in 16 balls.
