Matt Salisbury ended uo with 5-73 as he ended up with four of the last five wickets

Back-in-form Yorkshire look well in control on 236-2 against Glamorgan in Cardiff.

Fin Bean went just seven short of a fourth first-cass century of the summer for 93, but skipper Shan Masood is well set on 77.

Aftte the early rain delay in Bristol, Gloucestershire are going well on 215-4 against Derbyshirfe, with Ollie Price still there on on 64.

  2. Kent pass 300 at Canterburypublished at 16:32 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    301-3 v Notts

Notts are continuing with the leg spin of Harrison, who took the crucial scalp of Zak Crawley just before tea.

Leaning sweetly times a drive through the on side for four runs, which takes the partnership with Muyeye to 50 off 55 balls.

A single to cover brings up the innings 300 and of course a second batting bonus point.

Crucial runs for Kent, who are keeping the pressure firmly on Northants and Middlesex at the bottom half of the table.

    295-3 v Notts

Muyeye clips Paterson into the on side and the batter runs a tight single, just beating the return throw of Hutton.

One more to Leaning with a nudge to the on side.

    293-3 v Notts

Muyeye pulls a short one to the on side for a single.

Leaning is pushing the spinner away off the back foot for one more, and Kent are within sight of a second batting bonus point.

A silly point comes in for Leaning, who blocks.

  5. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 290-3 v Notts

Leaning is squared up by Paterson and the ball squirts away to third man for four.

    Very frustrating for the bowler.

Leaning is well forward to see out the rest of the over.

  6. 6 runs

Leaning on the attackpublished at 16:19 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 283-3 v Notts

Shot! Leaning is forward to thump spinner Calvin Harrison down the ground, and the batter sends the ball into the sight screen for six.

He deftly drops the next ball into the off side for one.

    Good batting.

  7. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 275-3 v Notts

A brace of fours for Muyeye, as the Kent number four drives Paterson through point and then gets a more streaky boundary off the next ball, driven with a thick edge wide of slip.

Chancing his arm a bit as he tries to seize momentum for the hosts in this crucial session.

  8. Postpublished at 16:12 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 265-3 v Notts

Leaning looks a bit uncomfortable against the spinner, lofting the second ball of the over wide of slip for three.

Muyeye gets a single off the third ball.

I should mention that Asitha Fernando is still flexing a leg and doesn't look 100% fit. He was cramping just before tea.

  9. Postpublished at 16:09 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 261-3 v Notts

A nervous start for Kent as Leaning plays and misses the first ball after tea.

    Kent 260-3 v Notts

This game has had everything - even though the scorecard doesn't really reflect that.

Skilful bowling, dramatic near misses in the field, wonderful attacking batting and wickets just before the break.

Either side could still win the spoils on day one.

Tawanda Muyeye and Jack Leaning are back in the middle.

    Paterson will bowl to Leaning.

  14. Tea at Hovepublished at 15:54 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Sussex 231-7 v Leicestershire

    Adrian Harms
    BBC Sussex

A day that began in bright sunshine reaches tea with the floodlights on but mercifully no rain so far at Hove

Sussex have a frustrating habit of batters getting themselves out when well set - and that trend has continued today.

Coles, Haines, Carson and Carter were to a degree all culpable, and It’s been left to Fynn Hudson-Prentice to restore some respectability with his eighth half century of the season.

Leicestershire will be well pleased with their day's work so far but, in humid conditions, and with some help from the pitch they’ll want to wrap up this Sussex innings quickly after tea.

  15. Tea at Canterburypublished at 15:46 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 260-3 v Notts

Harrison is bowling with a short leg and a very short mid off to Leaning.

The Kent number five gets away with a single to fine leg off the third ball.

A big shout for LBW against Muyeye but it's not out. Think he hit that.

The last ball of the over is slammed over mid wicket for six! Muyeye nailed it, rocking back and swinging hard.

What an end to a dramatic session. A sublime 158 from Zak Crawley before wickets off successive balls.

That's tea. Or possibly something stronger. What a session.

  16. Notts fight back at Canterburypublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 251-3 v Notts

Leaning gets a single off his second ball and Muyeye is off the mark, driving Fernando through wide mid off.

That's the innings 250. Notts have rescued this session with the wickets of Crawley and Bell-Drummond in successive balls.

    WICKET Bell-Drummond c Moores b Fernandopublished at 15:35 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 248-3 v Notts

    Notts have two in two!

Bell-Drummond tries to pull a leg-side bumper and feathers a catch to the keeper.

Jack Leaning is in - probably far sooner than he expected.

    Two more overs till tea.

  18. wicket

WICKET Crawley c&b Harrison 158published at 15:31 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 248-2 v Notts

    WHAT...A...CATCH.

Crawley looks to have nailed a firm drive to long off and the bowler is diving at full stretch to his left to seize a fiendishly difficult chance.

A magnificent innings has ended - and Notts have the breakthrough they craved. End of the over and Tawanda Muyeye will bat next.

  19. Postpublished at 15:29 British Summer Time 10 September 2023

    Kent 246-1 v Notts

How many more is Zak going to get? Quite a few, I reckon.

Four more pulled nonchalantly through square leg, and a couple more with a cross-batted slap off the next ball brings two more runs for the 150 partnership with Bell-Drummond.
