Change of bowling for Lancashire as Tom Hartley replaces Luke Wood. A slip and a short leg are in for the spinner.

Just the one run from the over.

    Good news/bad news.

    Fascinatingly poised.

Four more to Bamber via a flashing cover drive. That first batting point is still some way away (250 these days) - but this is still a brave resurrection of the game from 19-5.

Bamber leaves outside off and Robson will be back on strike.

Ethan Bamber looked pretty comfortable there. Can he stick around long enough for Sam Robson to notch up a second first-class ton of the season?

Luke Wood drops short and Robson moves to 81 with a pull to backward square leg for four.

He's been there since the first ball of the innings, battled through Sunday morning's batting calamity - and he may very well be the last man standing.

This is one of the better innings from a Middlesex batsman in quite some time.

    WICKET Wright b Hudson-Prentice 0published at 11:40 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Sussex 262 v Leicestershire 93-8

    Oh my goodness.

Two in three balls for Fynn Hudson-Prentice. He sends in a very similar delivery to the one which ousted Tom Scriven. Scriven got an edge to it, Chris Wright can't and the ball whacks off stump.

Leicestershire are 169 behind with just two wickets left. They 25-6 this morning.

Rishi Patel is still there on 42*... he's in danger of carrying his bat in an incredible way.

  20. wicket

    WICKET Scriven c Carter b Hudson-Prentice 12published at 11:37 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

Another. Fynn Hudson-Prentice produces a fine ball which causes Tom Scriven to jam his bat down, only to send a faint edge through to Oli Carter behind the timbers.

Chris Wright is the new man. The visitors are still shy of the follow-on target. Incredible.
