  1. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 12:35 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Kent 446 v Notts 15-1

Kent have made a promising start to the reply with Jack Leaning's fine catch ousting Ben Slater from just the third ball of the innings.

The hosts did secure a fourth batting bonus points this morning but they rather collapsed from an overnight 387-4 to 446 all-out.

More inroads are the key in the day's remaining two sessions while the visitors will seek to make the most of the sun and the still decent-looking deck before any deterioration begins.

  2. Lunch at Old Traffordpublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Lancs 0-0 v Middx 194

Weather permitting - play will resume at 1:10.

  3. Lunch at Hovepublished at 12:32 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Sussex 262 & 7-0 v Leicestershire 108

    An astonishing morning.

Sussex blitzed Leicestershire, skittling them for 108 just over 90 minutes after the visitors resumed on 68-2.

Ari Karvelas finished with 4-14 from 12 overs with Jaydev Unadkat collecting 3-23. Rishi Patel's 48 was the only real defiance.

Sussex opted not to enforce the follow-on, despite a lead of 154, but will surely seek to bat the visitors out of the game in the next few sessions.

    White b Hannon-Dalby 0

    Warwickshire's Oliver Hannon-Dalby strikes again.

A seventh wicket for the beanpole Bears paceman as Jack White plays on.

It eclipses his 6-33 for the Bears against Gloucestershire at Bristol in the Bob Willis Trophy in 2020.

His previous County Championship best was 6-40 against Kent Edgbaston last summer.

Incrediibly, they are not having lunch. That has been put back to 12.40 because of the earlier half-hour rain break.

Kraigg Brathwaite and Rob Yates are padding up to face just one over before lunch is served. It seems lunacy, but . . .
