    Yorkshire 482-8 v Glamorgan

Jordan Thompson is out first ball.

James Harris is on a hat-trick.

But that was the last ball of the over, so he will have to wait.

Ben Coad is the new man in to join Dom Bess.

  2. wicket

WICKET Masood c Northeast b Harris 192published at 14:17 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Yorkshire 482-7 v Glamorgan

Yorkshire skipper Shan Masood has finally gone for 192.

It all took him a minute over six hours. 256 balls. 17 fours.

Great effort. His first century for the Tykes, but it falls short of the double century he got last summer for Derbyshire.

Jordan Thompson is next man in . . .

  3. Postpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Sussex 262 & 64-1 v Leicestershire 108

Serene progress by the sea for Sussex, who lead by 218.

Tom Clark got a stroke of luck with an inside edge past his stumps for a streaky four off Tom Sciven but followed-up with a meatier punch for another boundary two balls later to move to 24.

  4. dropped catch

Harry Came dropped on 39 by James Braceypublished at 14:16 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Glos 377 v Derbys 62-0

Harry Came tries to force Luke Charlesworth away off the back foot, edging behind.

The ball goes wide to a diving Bracey, pops into the gloves and pops out again.

  5. Bears openers make steady startpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Northants 250, Warwickshire 16-0 (10 overs)

Warwickshire's latest new opening partnership Kraigg Brathwaite and Rob Yates have made a steady start in their reply to Northamptonshire's 250 all out.

10 overs gone. Brathwaite has made just 5 off 35 balls.

Yates has hit the one boundary.

Painstaking stuff, But, don't forget, the Bears have collapsed badly in their tghree prfevious innings - 161 and 138 against Surrey, and 93 in the One-Day Cup semi-final defeat by Hampshire prior to that.

Leg spinner Ed Middleton is going to have his first bowling spell as a first-class player.

Tight line with a bit of flight and Harry Came defends.

Just the one run from his first over, fourth ball, tucked away to square leg by Harry Came.

"Problems here for Middlesex. They've got to try and make a breakthrough here."

  8. Red Rose pass 50 without loss at Old Traffordpublished at 14:07 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Lancs 51-0 v Middx 194

Keaton Jennings is very compact here, leaving anything even slightly outside the line of off stump.

More runs for Jennings here as he pushes Toby Roland-Jones square on the off side for four.

Jennings drives a single off the third ball and Luke Wells takes Lancashire past 50 with a stylish drive down the ground for four.

  9. 6 runs

for Steven Mullaneypublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Kent 446 v Notts 70-2

... off former Notts youngster Joey Evison. From his first ball. He'll love that.

This was brutal, stepping across to off stump and pulling over deep square into the seats. He follows up with a cut four off the penultimate ball of the over and a three from the last. 13 off the over against his old teammate.

Mullaney has 43 with seven fours and a six. He's not getting his 10,000 steps in today at this rate.

  10. Postpublished at 14:02 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Glos 377 v Derbys 54-0

Luke Charlesworth is into the Gloucester attack now and starts with a maiden.

Harry Came is a little late on a flick to mid-wicket and only just gets the ball past forward short leg for one off Zafar Gohar.

  11. Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Lancs 39-0 v Middx 194

John Simpson is standing up to Ethan Bamber, who has now bowled three maidens in six overs.

The fifth ball of the latest Toby Roland-Jones over is punched down the ground by Wells for four.

    Good start for Lancashire.

  12. Postpublished at 13:58 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Kent 446 v Notts 60-2

Yuzvendra Chahal is into the attack and soon receives the Steven Mullaney treatment.

Crisply driven past long-off for a boundary and absolutely no doubt he needed to take a step out of his crease.

Joe Clarke has been pretty quiet at the other end but shows his class with a nice drive off Michael Hogan and follows up with another of Chahal.

Steep learning curve for the Indian international leggy in unfamiliar conditions in a pretty unfamiliar format.

  13. 6 runs

Reece launches Zafar Goharpublished at 13:54 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Glos 377 v Derbys 51-0

Lovely shot from Luis Reece, sweeping Zafar Gohar on the front foot with a big flourish of the bat over mid wicket.

A stylish way to reach the innings 50.

  14. 110 overs up in Cardiffpublished at 13:53 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Yorkshire 460-6 v Glamorgan

    Bonus-point time over in Cardiff.

So it is a full five batting points for Yorkshire, but only two bowling points for Glamorgan.

All going well so far for the Tykes in their quest to elevate themselves off the bottom of the Division Two table.

In fact, coach Ottis Gibson has set his men a bigger challenge still, to win all their last four games - and get a lot higher up the table, even to the point where they could get enough points to say they would have gone up without that mid-season 48-point penalty.

  15. Postpublished at 13:50 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Lancs 39-0 v Middx 194

Middlesex captain Roland-Jones has brought himself into the attack for the first time, in the 10th over of the innings.

One appeal for LBW is turned down. Pitched outside leg.

Wells drives the last ball through mid off for four.

  16. wicket

WICKET Haines c Hill b Wright 34published at 13:49 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Sussex 262 & 49-1 v Leicestershire 108

A breakthrough. And a big one. Tom Haines cracked seven fours but top-edges an attempted pull to skipper Lewis Hill and he has to depart in the 30s once more.

He was looking very dangerous. Scott Currie is probably the most relieved of all after that early drop.

There's always another dangerous Tom at Hove though. Alsop joins Clark in the middle. They have a lead of 203 runs.

  17. Close call for Harry Camepublished at 13:47 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Glos 377 v Derbys 39-0

Zafar Gohar comes in around the wicket and Harry Came lofts it down the ground.

The ball evades Miles Hammond by a whisker and that's a fortuitous four runs. Came moves on to 30.

  18. Postpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Derbys 35-0 v Glos 377

Josh Shaw is getting some shape here but this ball swings in a little too much and drifts past leg.

A slip and a gully in for Shaw now, who pushes the next ball wide of off stump.

Maiden over. The first of the innings.

  19. Postpublished at 13:44 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Kent 446 v Notts 45-2

Steven Mullaney has hit five boundaries in his 28*... I am not sure he has taken a single stride after laying bat on ball for any of them, so good is his timing.

Nathan Gilchrist has conceded five boundaries in his opening six overs, all of them to Mullaney. Only seven runs have come off his other deliveries.

  20. Postpublished at 13:42 British Summer Time 11 September 2023

    Lancs 29-0 v Middx 194

Three slips in for Ryan Higgins - and Jennings has his first boundary via a deflection through mid wicket.

Higgins is alternating between round and over the wicket but he's not quite in his best rhythm, with three no balls for overstepping so far.

Wells gets successive boundaries off Higgins. One edged past Davies at third slip and the other is clipped wide of mid on.

Four more clipped through the on side.
