Annabel Sutherland's century is the fastest Test hundred for Australia. It is the fourth quickest in Women's Test history. Quickest is by Sri Lankan Chamani Seneviratna (108 balls) in 1998. Sutherland reached her century in 148 balls, the previous best was 165 Jill Kennare in 1984 against England in Perth.

Kim Garth happy to see off a maiden from Sophie Ecclestone before lunch.

She is unbeaten on 14 off 56 balls.

But the morning session belongs to Annabel Sutherland who batted the whole session and is 116 not out off 160 balls.

  3. Aus 439-8published at 114 overs

Annabel Sutherland slices Lauren Filer's fourth ball with a pull and it flies down to deep third for a boundary.

We'll have time for one more Sophie Ecclestone over before lunch.

Here's how Annabel Sutherland reached her first century in all formats with a lovely flick off her legs for four.

  5. Aus 434-8published at 113 overs

Let them eat cake... Not that Marie Antoinette ever said that, it's a mistranslation.

Anyway, Australia are on course to bat England out the game here. Both Annabel Sutherland and Kim Garth happy to knock Sophie Ecclestone into the gaps.

We've gone rogue and had the cake before lunch. It is sensational.

This Aussie team is like a cheat code. Fully expecting Garth to make 50 at this rate.

We are 111 overs into the game, I think everyone is feeling a little bit older than they were yesterday.

Australia have already batted England out of this match, let's pray for more rain. Monotonous bowling by our attack with no plan B. Disappointing.

A classy knock from Annabel Sutherland. Here's one of those glorious drives down the ground off Sophie Ecclestone from a little earlier.

  12. Aus 425-8published at 111 overs

I would imagine Annabel Sutherland will not be batting as low as No.8 in the order for very much longer... Meanwhile, Kim Garth sweeps the fourth ball of Sophie Ecclestone's 40th over for four to pick up her first boundary.

Sutherland decides to go after Ecclestone's final delivery and a leading edge spoons up but drops safely into the off side.

This 108 is now the highest score ever for a No.8 in women's Test cricket history by Annabel Sutherland.

It was over Heather Knight's head, it would have been a left hand grab. I think the problem is the speed, the problem for the girls is the bounce of this wicket, they have to be in quite close. It is a tough one.

  15. Aus 415-8published at 110 overs

Short and quick from Lauren Filer's penultimate delivery and Annabel Sutherland flashes at it. The ball goes over the head of Heather Knight at slip and races away for four.

    Australia well on top here.

    That is quite phenomenal.

A century from number eight in a Test match just shows how ridiculously strong this Australia team is, and Sutherland has barely given a chance from what I can recall.

She came in at a tricky time, too, when England struck back with a few quick wickets in the evening session and had Australia under pressure for the first time all day.

    And she's only 21 - what a moment.

That is as good a shot as you will see throughout this five days. What a shot to reach your hundred. She is a great batter and she is so young, it is frightening. I'd argue she is going to be better than Ellyse Perry.

100 for Annabel Sutherlandpublished at 12:50 British Summer Time 23 June 2023

    Take a bow Annabel Sutherland.

Lauren Filer into the attack and her first ball is crispy clipped to the boundary for four by the Aussie all-rounder. That's a lovely way to get your maiden international century.

  19. Aus 403-8published at 12:48 British Summer Time 23 June 2023

Annabel Sutherland whips Sophie Ecclesotone it to mid-wicket and Lauren Bell dives to prevent the boundary this time.

She's up to 96 now. One boundary for three figures.

Let’s not forget Shane Warne’s highest Test score of 99. Caught out with a terrible cow corner slog, off a no-ball but it stands, which was incidentally where he was trying to hit it.
