Sophie Ecclestone loves having the ball in her hand, so Heather Knight will have a problem prising it out of her. Also looking after Lauren Filer, we don't want a stress fracture on her. We only have five bowlers, so someone is going to get a bowl.
Sophie Ecclestone, speaking to Sky Sports before play started, said: "I think my plan is to keep it simple. I think it's about being boring and bowling my best ball over and over again.
"I am trying to take wickets so if I go for four an over I don't mind it keeps me in the game. I am always looking to keep the stumps in play, use natural variation, change my pace a little and get them to do something a little bit different.
"Hopefully the seamers can get it done this morning and I am not needed."
Following the attention on Moeen Ali's spinning finger in the men's first Test, Ecclestone said she has no issues after bowling 31 overs on day one. She added: "My spinning finger is okay actually. The Dukes is a bit more forgiving for me. Mine is all right!!"

The pitch is what it is, you've got to make it more exciting. I want to see England declare on 600 after three quick wickets this morning. At Trent Bridge, the cracks don't break up much, we haven't got much baking sun around. I think it is going to stay reasonably the same throughout.
Australia all-rounder Elysee Perry on England debutant Lauren Filer: "She bowled with really good pace and got a bit of seam on the ball. I think I might have faced her once in The Hundred last year.
"I think that’s probably one of the things that stands out with women’s cricket at the moment, just how many impressive young players are coming on and how much 12 months makes in terms of their development.
"She’s been really important for this game, I think she’s provided it with a great challenge for the batters and obviously, bowling with good pace is exciting to watch so it was really cool to face her."

You'll probably notice more clouds around today, but there will be sunny spells. It will be fresher, temperatures around 22 but it is expected to stay dry. The weekend will turn very warm, very humid. Temperatures up to 26. Sunday was the other day there could be some rain, it looks like there will be some rain and thunderstorms, probably the later session with rain and thunderstorms. It looks better on Monday.

For today’s question to test your cricketing guesswork skills, we are looking at the so-called 'Nervous Nineties'.
Ellyse Perry became the 117th international cricketer to experience the bittersweet success-failure cocktail of being out for 99, joining a club whose members include her team-mate Jess Jonassen, mid-20th-century England legend Betty Snowball, Geoffrey Boycott (twice out for 99) and Sachin Tendulkar (all-time international 99 champion with three dismissals a run short of three figures).
As a whole, in the history of Test cricket, men’s and women’s, in what percentage of innings of 90-plus, has the batter been out before reaching 100? (Ignoring innings in which players finished not out in the 90s.)
And what percentage of centuries have ended with the hundred-maker being out for 100 to 109? (Again, ignoring innings ending not out in the 100s.)

We've just got to Trent Bridge and it's very humid and cloudy.
It feels like a bowling day, which would not be great news for England.
I suspect Australia will have a quick dart this morning, get as many as they can, and get bowling to England as soon as possible if the clouds hang around.
England bowler Lauren Filer on her first day as an England Test cricketer: "It was a definitely a surreal experience, but I loved it.
"I didn't really feel many nerves during the morning but as soon as I got on the pitch, in the first five overs I felt very shaky. I just wanted to field the ball and after that I felt all right.
"It was quite tough, the ball wasn't moving a lot and the pitch probably didn't have as much pace as we thought it was going to have. We'll try and bowl straight and full on day two and take the last three wickets."
The players were off the field for about 80 minutes yesterday after we had some rain at Trent Bridge, although we still managed to get 85 overs of cricket in.
Thankfully, the forecast for today predicts a 0% chance of rain in Nottingham so we should get a full day of play in without any worries.
Australia all-rounder Elysee Perry: "I think we split the chocolate on day one, it was just a really competitive game, some toing and froing certainly in momentum and a really good tussle. I thought probably to finish the way we did in those last couple of sessions probably after losing a few quick wickets after the rain delay has given us some really good momentum but it certainly makes the first session in the morning really important.
"We’re coming up against a really confident English team that have been through a little bit of change in the last little bit and seem to be believing in the way that they play and the style of play that Jon Lewis has introduced as coach.
"They’re probably a more mature side that have really benefitted from an increasingly professional domestic system and the girls are playing more cricket, so I think it feels like the toughest Ashes series yet from recollection and it’s so exciting to be over here and be a part of that."
Even Stevens, 50-50, nip and tuck. Or, to quote Australia's Ellyse Perry, the teams have "split the chocolate".
Australia compiled 328-7 on day one. But England held their own against the world's best women's cricket team.
Who will grab this game by the scruff of the neck on day two?
Good morning and welcome to our live text commentary of the one-off Ashes Test from Trent Bridge.
