Thailand to Lord's is a long commute, Chris...
Jadeja flies through a maiden. The TV cameras pick out Ravichandran Ashwin at the end of the over. I wasn't on yesterday so didn't get to vent at India's staggering decision to leave out their premier spinner.
He's currently eating a yoghurt rather than gobbling up left-handers.

I was fortunate enough to write my entire dissertation about cricket, even swindling a few days of research in the library at Lord's. Halycon days!

Here's a collector's item. Nathan Lyon hits a back-foot punch through the covers off Umesh Yadav's pace. A lovely shot which Aggers compares to Don Bradman on TMS.
England could do without another spinner turning into a world-beating batter...

The bad news for India is that only three times in the history of Test cricket in this country has a team made more than 450 in the first innings of the match and lost.
The good news is that one of those was last year - New Zealand's 553 in Jonny Bairstow's Test at Trent Bridge.
Another was on this ground in 2003 - South Africa made 484 and lost.
You've surely got a lot to go at there, Tom.
Jadeja rattles through an over conceding just a single.

Any suggestions on how I can incorporate cricket into my history A-level exam tomorrow? (Covers South Africa 1948-1994).

Cummins 8, Lyon 1
Jadeja is an absolute rockstar. Even during this Umesh Yadav over he's skulking in the outfield with his electric blue sunglasses.
Pat Cummins looks like he's going to try and add some quick runs. He has a swipe at Umesh but misses on this occasion.

I think that decision being overturned produced the loudest noise of the match so far. It might have something to do with the India fans being absolutely enthralled by Ravindra Jadeja.
Nathan Lyon defends his first two deliveries.
India really need to rattle through these final two.

There was no need to Alex Carey to play that shot. He had just hit a six the previous delivery.
Carey lbw b Jadeja 48 (Aus 453-7)
Alex Carey is out box before wicket!
Ravindra Jadeja makes the breakthrough in his first over of the day.
Was it a poor shot? The reverse sweep certainly looks bad when you get out. It was definitely absolutely plumb.
There's no spike. On we go to ball tracking.
Carey has got so low playing this it has hit him in the box...

If that hasn't hit the edge - and it doesn't look like it has - that might be close.
The India fans are cheering as the first replay is shown on the big screen.
There's no bat, I don't think.

Playing that shot was Alex Carey's downfall in India. It looks great it if works, but a shambles if it doesn't.
But Carey could be in a trouble a ball later!
He's tried a reverse sweep and missed. An lbw decision is turned down but India like this.
Bosh!
Alex Carey is going to attack the spin of Jadeja. He pumps him into the stands.

Reference cricket in school exams. I’m a teacher and during summer term I may well have cricket scores open on my computer whilst students are working. Luckily this year I have three exam classes and they all finish their last history paper on Wednesday!! Just in time for me to listen to TMS during that gained time.

It's tidier stuff from Umesh Yadav's end. Alex Carey drops has hands as a collection of pints is passed down the line in the stands. Those India fans are happy. Ravindra Jadeja is coming on for the first time today.
