  1. NZ 67-0published at 12 overs

These modern-day batters are good, aren't they?

Devon Conway shuffles outside off stump, looking to work an angle for a ramp of some sort, but Paul van Meekeren follows him and cramps him for room.

Conway is able to readjust though and just nudge it for a single.

    Really clever.

There haven't been too many close games but there has been fascinating moments in each match at this World Cup so far.

  3. NZ 66-0published at 11 overs

Another good over for the Dutch, with Will Young and Devon Conway milking Roelof van der Merwe for three singles.

It's another beautiful day in Hyderabad but the crowd is again pretty sparse. It may fill up as the day goes on but the lack of spectators isn't a great look for this World Cup so far.

India look incredibly strong this year. The main concern? We haven't had a competitive game yet. Maybe today will change that! Or maybe not.

  5. NZ 63-0published at 10 overs

A much better second over from Paul van Meekeren, conceding just two singles.

End of the powerplay. It undoubtedly belongs to New Zealand, despite starting the innings with three successive maidens.

A huge score could be on the cards here.

In the summer, I played with Roelof van der Merwe at Welsh Fire in The Hundred. I asked him if he was looking forward to watching the Netherlands at the World Cup and he said 'I'm playing in it!'

I couldn't believe it, I was sure he would have retired because of how bad his back was after last year's T20 World Cup.

  7. NZ 61-0published at 9 overs

A double change for the Netherlands as Roelof van der Merwe replaces Aryan Dutt.

The left-arm spinner has never bowled in the powerplay of an ODI before so that gives an indication of how up against it the Netherlands are.

He lets out a "NO!" as he strays onto the pads of Devon Conway, who tickles fine for four, before a reverse sweep finds the fence too.

Now we are starting to see this New Zealand partnership really go for it as they pass 50.

As a bowler, that is not how you want to start. Van Meekeren has given away an absolute freebie there.

  10. NZ 52-0published at 8 overs

Scott Edwards makes a change as Paul van Meekeren, who had plenty of words with the Pakistan bowlers at the end of Friday's defeat, comes into the atack.

It's more of the same though with Will Young picking up four through the off side and then straight back down the ground.

This is becoming a very good start for the Kiwis.

Prior to the start of this tournament, Devon Conway averaged 92 against spin in ODI cricket. Will Young also averaged just shy of 45.

  12. 6 runs

    NZ 43-0published at 7 overs

    This game has completely flipped.

Aryan Dutt drops a little short and Devon Conway is able to pull away to the mid-wicket boundary.

He's then dried up with four dots, before Dutt strays down the leg side for five wides.

Conway elegantly clips the extra ball over long-on for six. Superb shot.

Agreed it was hard not to be impressed by South Africa, though. Their hitting could cause a lot of teams pain in this World Cup.

I have been most impressed by South Africa! South Africa demolished Sri Lanka. Then India made a statement in their game against Australia. I can see England struggling to make the semi finals. Based on what has happened so far, albeit early days and things will no doubt change.

I could watch Devon Conway bat all day. We genuinely could be watching him bat for most of the next six weeks.

It has been a patient start from Devon Conway but he crashes through mid-on to pick up his first boundary, before finding the square-leg fence.

After three maidens to start NZ have added 28 in the last three overs.

The Netherlands have been upsetting the big dogs of world cricket for years now, and Sporting Witness have done a special programme looking back at their famous victory over England at Lord's in the 2009 World T20.

Good recovery from Aryan Dutt, ending the over with three dot balls.

Devon Conway got off the mark from the first ball of the over too, so he's got one off 13 now.

    The runs are flowing now.

Will Young slices a drive over the covers for four, before chipping back down the ground for the first six of the day.

Klein is not getting much movement, he's just changing the line with each ball, although I'm not sure how much he means it.
