All smiles as Manchester United players celebrate three points and Ryan Giggs ruefully resigns himself to the fact his final appearance at Old Trafford (potentially) did not bring a goal.
Manchester United are throwing everyone forward as they try and work an opening for Ryan Giggs. Hull standing firm so far.
Ryan Giggs steps up and it's heading for the top corner until it's tipped over by Eldin Jakupovic. Spoil-sport!
United free-kick, 25 yards out...
That's naughty from David Meyler, who is on a yellow card, as he stands on Adnan Januzaj when the Manchester United forward is on the floor. Was it intentional? I have no idea, but it didn't look good.
An own goal almost pulls Hull back into it for a second time when Maynor Figueroa's cross is almost turned past his own keeper by Chris Smalling.
Ryan Giggs plays his part in the goal which looks to have sealed victory for Manchester United. The manager rolls the ball into Robin van Persie, whose first shot is blocked by Curtis Davies but the Dutchman gobbles up the rebound and rifles past Eldin Jakupovic.
Hull are beginning to stretch Manchester United but that is creating holes for the Reds to play into and Marouane Fellaini should do better when he's picked out by Ryan Giggs on the edge of the box. However, the Belgian squanders possession and the Old Trafford crowd groans.
BBC Sport's Simon Stone at Old Trafford: "It seems United's supporters are going to turn this into a testimonial for Giggs and Vidic. And if they are not careful, Hull are going to level.
"Incidentally, with their manager on the pitch scheming in midfield, Nicky Butt is directing affairs from the technical area. He has been Warren Joyce's assistant with the United reserve team this season, in addition to full-time duties in the Uefa Under-19 Youth League."

"It is going to take someone of the ilk of Louis van Gaal to get Manchester United back on course. They have badly gone off the rails this season."

Worrying news for Hull fans ahead of the FA Cup final as Ahmed Elmohamady pulls up injured and is replaced by Jake Livermore.
Mr Lamide:, external Januzaj should never play on the left again. He's such a nuisance to defenders on the right, he almost reminds me of Robben.
Usama Zafar:, external Thank you Moyes for giving Januzaj a break and extending his contract or else he would have left us. Amazing player.
MOTD's Guy Mowbray at Old Trafford
"This match started out like a pre-season friendly but now it's all blood and thunder as we approach the final 10 minutes."
Hull continue to press forward and David Meyler's powerful shot is parried clear by David De Gea while the rebound is inches away from Matty Fryatt. Manchester United then sweep up the other end and Robin van Persie shoots wide after being teed up by Adnan Januzaj.

"Ryan Giggs is getting quicker! Unbelievable, he made about 70 yards up, has overlapped Fellaini. His fitness levels and enthusiasm at 40 are unbelievable."

Ryan Giggs is tearing around like an 18-year-old as he charges down the left and puts in a low cross which is well cleared. Can he add to his 168 Manchester United goals tonight?
Hull don't seem to have read the script and are beginning to dominate possession and build up a head of steam in the final third.
Jake Ailion on text: The irony of a new Wilson entering the field on the same night the old Wilson bows out...
Ryan Giggs was born Ryan Wilson.
Eyobel Gomini, external: United should retire the number 11! Thank you Giggsy all time best, legend!
Prajjwal Panday, external: I might just shed a tear tonight when the whistle blows tonight #Giggs.

"Ryan Giggs is up in arms. He thinks his shot hit an arm and what an opportunity that would have been to keep up his incredible record of scoring in every Premier League year."
