So who is to blame for Fulham's relegation then? Felix Magath? Rene Meulensteen? The players?

Former owner Mohamed Al-Fayed blames new owner Shahid Khan and his choice of manager, saying that Felix Magath is the wrong man for the job.

He also reveals that he warned the current chairman he would "regret" taking down the statue of Michael Jackson from outside Craven Cottage.

It's not been a classic - Hull certainly need to do something about the fact they haven't registered a single shot on goal.

"James Wilson took his chance very well. He has worked hard and has not had to do a lot apart from that. It has been efficient from United. Hull have not had a shot on goal."

It's all very easy for Manchester United at the moment, but I know a certain 18-year-old who must be feeling on top of the world right now: goalscorer James Wilson.

Finally Hull get an opportunity to break through Ahmed Elmohamady but the winger's cross is cut out by guess who? Yep, Nemanja Vidic. He wants to sign off with a clean sheet.

Hull have barely figured as an attacking force this evening and another attack is easily snuffed out in the penalty area by a determined Nemanja Vidic. Steve Bruce might make one or two changes at the break. If in doubt, Brucey...ask yourself what Tony Pulis would do! Chuck on three forwards...

Simon Levy:, external The Jones injury could be a blessing in disguise. Hopelessly overrated and had a poor season.

Alex Gone:, external It's time Phil Jones kept down his recklessness. There's a thin line between bravery and stupidity.

Mr Lamide:, external Jones the next Vidic. Throws himself at everything, never afraid to stick a head in a challenge.

Marouane Fellaini has been putting himself about tonight, and he crosses the line with a late challenge on Stephen Quinn which leaves the Hull wide man grimacing on the turf. Into the book you go, Marouane.

James Wilson must feel 7 foot tall right about now as the Old Trafford crowd chant his name. The Stretford End has a new hero.

  15. GOALpublished at 20:15 British Summer Time 6 May 2014

A true striker's finish from 18-year-old debutant James Wilson gets us up and running at Old Trafford. Adnan Januzaj's free-kick is headed down at the far post by Marouane Fellaini and Wilson instinctively pounces like a fox-in-the-box to rifle past the keeper. Mark Hughes, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney would have been proud of that attacking instinct and finish.

BBC Sport's Simon Stone at Old Trafford: "Vidic applauded onto the pitch as replacement for Phil Jones. There is a debate about whether he is United's best central defender of the Premier League era. Few would argue he was the toughest.

"It's not all about the hosts of course. Hull have an FA Cup final to prepare for after a solid return to the Premier League. And, as their fans point out, they are 'keeping their name' with owner Assem Allam presently thwarted in his attempt to ditch City in favour of Tigers."

Sham Gallagher, external: Unlucky for Jones, but bring on the mighty Vidic. Final home goal for him. Let just see if United make it a good one.

Jonathan Guckian, external: With Fellaini up top, Manchester United sacrifice creativity and penetration for sheer 'hit and hope' tactics.

Ed Gutteridge, external: Much end of season dullness so far. Everyone just waiting for Giggsy.

Hull's midfield four are sitting quite deep to try and clog up the space in which Tom Lawrence and Adnan Januzaj are trying to work their magic. It'll be interesting to see if the pair can wriggle away from such close attention and unlock this pretty well-organised Tigers defence.

"Nemanja Vidic has a great presence, he has a fantastic leap, he is brave. How many times have we seen him get those important goals? He has to be up there for United. He is a leader, has formed a great partnership with Rio Ferdinand and has won almost everything.

"If Van Gaal had been appointed earlier, would he have kept Vidic? He still looks effective."
