Before we drop in any more pop music/movie references from the 1990s, here's an opportunity for you to grab some of the limelight. There are no shortage of England-related talking points so don't be shy.

Does Roy know his starting XI for the World Cup opener? Who would you pick if you were England's head honcho? Wayne Rooney's place could be under threat - at least in the eyes of managers in the cut-throat business of social media.

Group leader Hodgson and his boys are within touching distance of the start of the self-proclaimed 'greatest show on Earth' - the World Cup in Brazil.

Tonight, the Three Lions continue their preparations with a warm-up match against Ecuador at the Sun Life Stadium, home of the world-famous American Football team Miami Dolphins.

You, like me, might remember it better as the location where gurning funnyman Jim Carrey beat up a cuddly mascot in Ace Ventura Pet Detective...

"Party in the city where the heat is on. All night, on the beach til the break of dawn."

That is how rapper Will Smith famously described Miami in his 1998 smash hit called, er, 'Miami'.

"Everyday like a mardi gras, everybody party all day. No work all play, OK," continued the Fresh Prince, presumably after he had left Bel Air for a summer vacation in the Florida city.

Now England have landed in the Sunshine State - but there won't be any partying for Roy Hodgson's men. Or there better not be anyway.

"Welcome to Miami. Buenvenidos a Miami."
