England aren't the only team to have their final preparations disrupted by Mother Nature. Belgium's last match ahead of the World Cup, against Tunisia in Brussels, was stopped twice during the first half because a heavy hailstorm.

Torrential rain turned into giant hailstones - making the pitch look like a driving range covered in golf balls. The score was 0-0 when the game was interrupted, with Belgium going on to win 1-0.

Bryn via text: Admittedly I wasn't there but sometime in the mid 90s, Woking's Conference match with Hayes was abandoned when our captain, Kevan Brown, fell into a hole in the pitch. Ironically a storm the previous night caused the drainage system under the pitch to collapse.

If you thought it was bad in England earlier then it's nothing compared to the buckets of rain falling on Miami right now. The fans are seeking shelter inside the concourses around the stadium and only the brave remain in their seats. Wonder if Steve McClaren is around to lend an umbrella?

The Honduras fans beat a very hasty retreat under cover once that cloudburst hit the Sun Life Stadium.

Many England fans decided to stay out in the open to take a right soaking. Actually some blue skies about although the rain continues to fall.

    Roy Hodgson
    England manager on ITV

"We will wait for another half hour and see what happens - we will be ready to play whenever. But we are not prepared to go down the despair route, hopefully the game will start again.

"If it doesn't then the good thing is we have no more injuries, we were controlling the game very well, and had a couple of great chances. Neither side was going hell for leather but that is understandable considering the World Cup is just a week away."
