Ex-Liverpool midfielder Ray Houghton, speaking about Luis Suarez: "He's been absolutely superb, and rightly so he has won all the awards. He has been sensational, anyone that gets to 30 league goals, you have to have done something incredibly well. Not only that, it's how many assists he's got. With him it's not about the individual, it's about the team and how much energy he can give for getting results for Liverpool. I think he's settled down, he's realised this is the club where he wants to be - as long as Liverpool keep progressing he wants to be there."

"He's young enough to get even better in the next couple of seasons, maybe not with the amount of goals but he'll certainly help the side. With Liverpool being in the Champions League next year, that's where he wants to test himself."

I don't want to alarm you Liverpool fans, but Luis Suarez has just been in deep conversation with the physio which ended with the striker taking a tablet. He's running around fine, so maybe he's got a little bit of headache? Maybe he's wondering where he'll find room for all his player of the season trophies on the mantelpiece?

"Palace will defend deep and make it difficult. They should have had more width against Chelsea [when they lost 2-0], what they didn't do was get their full backs out on the overlap. There were other areas where they had players who can play wide, but they didn't and that played into Chelsea's hands. It was 84 minutes before Sterling got in behind Chelsea. That suited Chelsea in a 4-2-3-1 perfectly."

It's been a pretty decent week for Luis Suarez, hasn't it? Putting results on the pitch to one side for a moment, he was named as the PFA Player of the Year last weekend before being named Player of the Year by the Football Writers' Association earlier today.

Suarez took 52% of the vote, with team-mate Steven Gerrard second and Manchester City's Yaya Toure in third.

"Tireless endeavour allied to extraordinary imagination makes an irresistible combination," FWA chairman Andy Dunn said.

Carefulwhatyousay:, external Liverpool should follow Hamilton's game plan last Saturday. Needed to win by 8, won 10-2. Still lost the title though.

Ben Stephens:, external Even if Liverpool win the next two games 6-0, Man City will still score goals and probably quite a few more.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish: "It's quite strange in my four years of being here to be feeling so relaxed. It's important for the integrity the players go out and enjoy themselves, make it hard for Liverpool and give it our best."

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, speaking to Sky Sports: "Philippe Coutinho has had a bit of a problem and we don't think he's fully fit so he is on the bench but Daniel [Sturridge] has had a really good week so he comes back in.

"We haven't changed our approach all season. We are at our best when we are aggressive in our play, Tony has done a terrific job at Palace so we know they are going to be a tough nut to crack and this will be another good test for us.

"The most important thing we can do is consolidate second place and see what happens. If we win tonight it would take us to 83 points which would be tremendous for us. The objective is for us to win, take the three points and go into the final game of the season.

"Whatever happens there will be a great celebration of what we have achieved this season."

With Crystal Palace assured of another season in the Premier League, they can go into tonight's final home game of the season with nothing to lose. And it's that no fear mentality which Tony Pulis wants to instil into his players ahead of the clash with Liverpool.

"There's not many occasions where you play against such great players and when you do I think it's more of a challenge and something to look forward to and enjoy - not something to be afraid of," Pulis said.

"Without a shadow of a doubt Luis Suarez is one of the best forwards in the world. He's unbelievable, he's got unbelievable balance - people always talk about what he can do technically but great players have great balance.

"They can move themselves off angles at full pace and he can do that. He's got that awareness and everything that goes towards being a great player."

"Liverpool have to be very positive, very professional and win a game of football that will be very tough and will undoubtedly present them with the same problems they faced against Chelsea."

Juventus fans celebrate titleImage source, Getty Images

Juventus fans took to the streets of Turin on Sunday after their side sealed the Serie A championship without even kicking a ball.

Second-placed Roma's surprise 4-1 defeat at lowly Catania handed the Old Lady a third successive title and there will likely be more than a few fans nursing sore heads as they make their way to the Juventus Stadium tonight, with their side in action against Atalanta.

While there will be a party atmosphere this evening, Juventus still have every reason to take this fixture seriously and collect three points. Juve are currently on 93 points and wins from each of their three remaining games will see them become the first Serie A side to break the 100-point barrier.

Which brings us rather nicely to Tony Pulis, and the absolutely superb job he's done at Selhurst Park. Manager of the Year? Surely he's got a chance when the gongs are dished out. So what makes TP tick - well, it all starts at 6am when he gets stuck into a heavy gym session.

BBC Sport's David Ornstein went to meet the man himself for a Football Focus special, in which he admitted he had second thoughts about taking on the job.

"I was very sceptical," said Pulis. "Nearly everyone I spoke to said it's almost an impossible job. But Sir Alex Ferguson and my ex-chairman Peter Coates thought it was a job that could be done because of the club, because everybody had written it off, because of the fantastic supporters.

"[Chairman[ Steve Parish came down to my house in Bournemouth and we had a real good chat about things. I made the decision that I'd give everything I had to keep them up."

The rest, as they say, is history.

Maybe Liverpool will just settle for a victory tonight, knowing they have lost their last two meetings with Liverpool at Selhurst Park. In fact, Palace boss Tony Pulis is unbeaten in Premier League home matches against Liverpool (W3, D2) from his time in charge of Stoke. Now would be the perfect time to change all of that, Liverpool.
