Argentina will be pleased to see these two still toiling away - as Keylor Navas makes another great save to repel a Jeremain Lens header.

The flag was up in fact, but still a great save from Navas.

We may never see a goal again...

    Dave Myrie warms up
    Cristian Gamboa on a stretcher

    Go on Dave!

You don't get many Daves in international football anymore, but Dave Myrie is on to replace Cristian Gamboa, who has not recovered from that earlier injury and is leaving on a stretcher.

It's Dave's competitive debut too. Good luck Dave.

"Like for like, Jeremain Lens will be asked to do the same job as Memphis Depay, which is to beat a player. But I've been really impressed with Cristian Gamboa the Costa Rica right-back. He's also looked good going forward.

"Can the Costa Ricans hold out? The pressure is mounting on Netherlands. Costa Rica are in this position for the first time ever so they've got nothing to lose."

"You have to admire what Costa Rica have done. They have defended well, played to their strengths and tried to attack the Dutch on the break."

Dutch change. Memphis Depay is off and Jeremain Lens on in his place.

The Dynamo Kiev man has real pace and was a key man in qualifying, scoring five and making five. One more now is needed.

It's not been my favourite 70 minutes of the World Cup. But even Costa Rica v Greece ended well.

Ron Vlaar heads a free-kick over the top. The Dutch look nervous.

I was ready to write Cristian Gamboa's World Cup off but a touch from the magic sponge and a few words of hope and he's back out there.

Into the last 20. Can we have something to cheer about?

Injury. Cristian Gamboa lands on a straight leg and rolls his ankle, he's instantly in pain and calling for assistance.

"Joel Campbell hasn't really been involved an awful lot but the little moments we have seen he has looked a threat. That is a surprising change for me."

Just over 20 minutes of normal time remaining. This could well go all the way, both sides looking short of ideas.

    Joel Campbell

"I am little bit surprised to see Joel Campbell come off. He looks a little bit leggy but he certainly has the capability on a breakaway to make something happen. He doesn't look a happy boy."

Carlos Moran: No one believed me when I said we could get out of the group. But you know who did believe? All my fellow Costa Ricans. Do this for the country and make us proud!

    Costa Rica chance

Costa Rica whip in a free-kick and Giancarlo Gonzalez heads it over the top, fine defending from Ron Vlaar on that occasion.

    Marcos Urena comes on

And Costa Rica make a change - Joel Campbell comes off and is not happy. He is replaced by Marcos Urena, who scored in the 3-1 win over Uruguay.

"The obvious way you would see a change in tempo is if the Dutch did go a goal down or if they make a substitution and maybe go two up front."

Vinny Pearson:, external That's a penalty. Anywhere else on the pitch and it's a foul. Reverse it too as an attacker on defender? Foul.

    Bruno Martins Indi is booked

BMI is in the book now, cynical from big Bruno Martins Indi as he checks the run of Bryan Ruiz.

He gives you a chance, Bruno Martins Indi. Can a side with him and Ron Vlaar in it win the World Cup?

    Maybe.

"Junior Diaz has got the legs on Dirk Kuyt, he couldn't stay with him but there was no real conviction in the cross from Diaz. Bruno Martins Indi was really clumsy in his challenge on Joel Campbell. I felt Costa Rica should have had a penalty in the first half and that one could have been given too."

    Arjen Robben

Wonderful touch from Arjen Robben to keep the ball in play out wide on the right. Those hamstrings are much more supple than they once were. Costa Rica camped in front of their own goal - but hang on!

    Joel Campbell on ground
    Joel Campbell

A very rare breakaway from Junior Diaz, who skins Dirk Kuyt and cuts it back for Joel Campbell, who is barged in the back by Bruno Martins Indi.

It's not a penalty, but a risk from the industrial Indi.

Robin van Persie is played in down the channel but is well marshalled by the impressive Giancarlo Gonzalez in the Costa Rican defence.

Thirty-five minutes left. Are we going all the way?
