Josu:, external I could regret saying this, but we look more solid with Blind and Rojo in the team.

Adeel Ejaz:, external It feels so odd to see Rio defending against Rooney. What has the world come to!

"Man United have already put three or four crosses into the box, they are getting it in their very early and have started brightly. Already they look bigger, stronger and fitter. They look like they have an idea today, United."

Harry Redknapp takes a walk down to the sidelines to usher his side out, he doesn't want them sitting too deep. Charlie Austin is up front alone and may not see much of his team-mates today.

Rafael and Marcos Rojo are bombing on for the hosts and Rafael wins a corner, but Angel Di Maria overclubs it right out the back.

"QPR have gone with a 4-5-1 formation, they are trying to compact the midfield and are sitting deep, letting Man United play in front of them at the minute."

Angel Di Maria is very wide on the left and pings over a fine cross but Rio Ferdinand clears his lines well. QPR get Junior Hoilett moving down their left but it comes to nothing. Very buoyant crowd inside Old Trafford this afternoon, as Ferdinand again clears away from Wayne Rooney this time. Lively start.

Looks like a back four for Manchester United with Daley Blind stationed in front. After that it's all very flexible in the opening stages. Louis van Gaal is a coach who fielded Dirk Kuyt in five positions in one game at the World Cup don't forget. Rotation, rotation, rotation...

Hasnain Gulzar:, external If Ronaldo, Rooney, Berbatov and Tevez could all fit into one team then so can Falcao, Rooney, RvP and Di Maria!

Barry Turley:, external Really surprised to see Falcao start on the bench, but pleased to see Utd revert to a more solid back four.

Mohamed Abdalla:, external Tactically, we should get destroyed playing with so many attack-minded players. Can LVG pull this off?

Sir Bobby Charlton hands a special trinket to Rio Ferdinand as he takes the acclaim from ex team-mates and supporters alike. A fine servant for United, but he'll be all about QPR today.

"Angel Di Maria is value for money. He was the best player at the Champions League final, and Argentina could have won the World Cup if he had stayed fit. Would you not say £59m is value for money, in today's current market, for one of the best players in the world at the moment?"

QPR manager Harry Redknapp speaking to Sky Sports: "There is nothing like coming to Old Trafford. This is what we scrapped all of last year for, to come to places like this. The longer you go without a win the harder it gets, so it was important that we beat Sunderland last time out.

"We will have to work our socks off today. We have to make sure we don't show them too much respect, be after them and the game and take our chances when they come."

    We demand entertainment!

These two sides have scored just three goals between them so far this season - Chelsea's Diego Costa alone has seven. Can we see the floodgates well and truly opened this afternoon?

Who have been the most entertaining team of the Premier League era?

Sachin Balaj:, external 2007-2008 Man Utd team, Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo, and at the back Vidic, Ferdinand, Evra, Neville, and of course Van der Sar.

Kingsley AA:, external As a Man Utd fan, I must say Thierry Henry and company with much difficulty.

Ger Scully:, external Spurs have consistently made me laugh for 15 years...

Rio Ferdinand is set for a busy afternoon, but the game could be won and lost in the midfield battle. Sandro is straight into that battlefield today on his debut, and could be up against just Ander Herrera, depending how United line up.

I'd back Sandro to win that one.

Football writer Amy Lawrence: "I'm not sure TV is the best thing for Rio Ferdinand, I see his future more as a coach.

"Harry Redknapp has integrated people into his backroom staff, like we saw with Tony Adams at Portsmouth, or Steve McClaren at QPR when he needed a route back into the game. Glenn Hoddle is there now and I think we will see Rio coaching at QPR before too long as well."
