"There's been a little bit of a warning here for West Brom since the break. West Ham are just starting to find space between the lines, which they weren't in the first half. I don't whether it's the away side who have raised their game or The Baggies who have dropped off a little bit, but Tony Pulis will want his team to tighten up."

Adam: Ideye has been in excellent form for West Brom recently. Wonder if he will let it go to his head and want a move to a 'big club' soon - or is it just hyped up, big headed and not exactly brilliant young England players who do that?

Mo (Liverpool fan): How fickle do fans have to be? West Ham have played exciting football this season and dismantled the likes of us, yet now people are complaining because of this poor performance? Really?

  3. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 13:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Enner Valencia is caught in the centre-circle by Craig Dawson, free-kick to West Ham. James Tomkins sends it into the area and Kevin Nolan pokes the ball into the net, but he was offside. Better from the Hammers, though, in this half.

  4. Postpublished at 13:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

Kevin Nolan sends the ball down the pitch for Stewart Downing. It is long and high and Downing waits for it to drop, but Chris Brunt nips across to take it off Downing's toe and then clears.

"From a neutral perspective we need a West Ham goal here. Otherwise West Brom will just see this game out. They don't have to do anything now. They can just keep it nice and tight, while looking to hit West Ham on the counter attack."

  6. Postpublished at 13:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

It looks like Sam Allardyce is keeping faith with the shape of his side as well but, for me, the diamond is not cutting it against West Brom. They need width.

  7. KICK-OFFpublished at 13:48 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

No changes for either team at the break and we are back under way.

Not seen James Morrison's strike yet? Then we have it online now. Take a look, it is a beauty.

Thomas Cullen: One thing that half has shown is that Nolan is done. Haven't seen one positive. Amalfitano please Sam. Thank you and goodnight Kevin

Not a half to take many positives from for West Ham as they failed to trouble Ben Foster in the West Brom goal. They'll need to change things, but how? Options are pretty limited on the bench.

Sam Allardyce was lauding his tactical nous before kick-off. He'll need to put it to use in the second 45 minutes if the Hammers are going to get back into this.

"West Brom have looked a real threat. It's been a thoroughly good all-round performance from them. Tony Pulis has got them set up tactically well, he's picked the good players and got people believing in what they are doing. He keeps it simple, Tony Pulis. I played under him at Portsmouth so I know how he likes to play. It's not complicated - get the ball down and pass it. West Ham, meanwhile, have looked like a team of total strangers."

"West Brom have totally dominated, and West Ham are missing Andy Carroll. The Baggies have dealt with everything the visitors have thrown at them using their superior size and stature. Maybe earlier in the season, when the Hammers seemed to be playing to a different style, they would have created more chances. But not today without Carroll. We've seen very little positive from them going forward."

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:32 Greenwich Mean Time 14 February 2015

I don't think Brown Ideye wanted the half-time whistle to go, he was loving life out there. West Ham players, in contrast, trudge off with their heads hanging.

Gus: West Brom look like a new team. Tony Pulis has worked his magic. They don't look like a team who are in any danger of going down.

Andrew: How long before Big Sam reverts to long ball tactics? This short passing style doesn't suit his teams!

West Ham's only threat is from set pieces, and even then it is not giving West Brom too much to worry about. They win a corner, which James Tomkins heads over. The Hammers players need some booming words from Big Sam at the break.

"You cannot say West Brom have not threatened to do that. But again there are five West Ham players around James Morrison, and not one of them goes to him. There has been space around the box and they've been inviting the home side to shoot. Unless Sam Allardyce changes things West Ham could be well beaten here."

Mark Noble is all over the shop. He loses possession outside his own area and James Morrison eventually picks it up. He is allowed so much space and he cracks off a fine strike that gives Adrian no chance. Game over?

No shots on target so far from West Ham. Their attempts to force their way through the middle are not working and we are yet to see the pace of Diafra Sakho cause the Baggies any problems. A game that would have been perfect for the injured Andy Carroll?
