John Stones is on the bench, I'd be getting him on. Everton's Chuckle Brothers aren't having the best of nights...

Ashley Wilkinson: Everton's poor defending finally following them to Europe. No reaction in their own box!

Matthew Hobbs: Last 16 of the Europa league? Defending's like watching the Red Lion on a Sunday morning.

Graham Atkinson: Everton defending absolute joke yet again. Alcaraz and Jagielka like watching the Chuckle Brothers.

"Object lesson in how not to defend from Everton here."

Another Everton goal would put them in the driving seat on away goals - but it's keeping them out at the other end which is the big issue.

That is a big goal! Everton in tatters at the back again as they fail to deal with a high ball in, it's a punt forward, Phil Jagielka heads it down to Miguel Veloso, and his shot is deflected past Tim Howard from the edge of the box.

The man who was linked with a move to Spurs every two months for years has put Everton on the back foot again. We will not have extra-time now.

What a game this is! Rubbish defending from Everton though, a routine cross into the box is left by both Everton centre-backs, it hits Andriy Yarmolenko on the back and sits up for Lukasz Teodorczyk to bury from six yards out.

Don't let it bounce! A cardinal sin.

Romelu Lukaku now turns creator with a neat pass through the Dynamo defence and Steven Naismith has a shot well blocked. Everton back on top, it's been a fine first half.

Tim Oliver: Well, away goals become interesting now for the right reasons.

Ian Cary: GOLAZO TO EVERTON!!!! This game is awesome!!!

It's easy to forget that Romelu Lukaku is only six weeks older than Harry Kane. Lukaku has got every ingredient to be a top-class striker for many years to come. And that goal was as good as I've seen him score. Everton back in control, they could concede again and we would have extra-time.

Pick that one out! Brilliant from Everton's record European goalscorer, Romelu Lukaku with wonderful technique to curl into the top corner from all of 22 yards out. On his left foot, buried into the top bag. A fine goal.

...make that three goals in Rome. Fiorentina are cutting Roma to ribbons and have blazed into a 3-0 lead in 22 minutes. This time Jose Maria Basanta has got in on the act.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 18:27 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

It's a cracking game now. Moments after Everton almost scored, they almost concede as goalscorer Andriy Yarmolenko gets the better of Antolin Alcaraz to drive into the box and Tim Howard makes a sprawling save.

  14. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 18:26 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Almost brilliant from Ross Barkley - who reappears in style! Steven Naismith sends him in on goal with a pass over a static defence, Barkley breaks away and shoots left-footed, does the right thing by putting it across goal but it smacks against the post. Very unlucky.

  15. Postpublished at 18:23 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Everton's decent start has now gone to pot with that cracking goal. Ross Barkley was lively in the first 15 minutes but he's gone missing since as the hosts took control.

  16. Elsewhere in Europepublished at 18:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

Fiorentina are now firmly in control in Rome. Former Sunderland and Bolton defender Marcos Alonso makes it 2-0 to leave Roma needing to score three to go through.

  17. GOALpublished at 18:20 Greenwich Mean Time 19 March 2015

That is brilliantly done! The poster boy of Dynamo Kiev puts his side on top. Andriy Yarmolenko picks it up deep on the right-hand side, cuts inside Gareth Barry and then curls a rocket over Tim Howard and into the top corner. Brilliant goal, and it means that Everton HAVE to score now or they are out.

Everton could be in the Champions League next season if they were to go on and win the Europa League. Just to clarify, if that did happen England would have five teams in next season's Champions League. Everton would not replace the team who finished fourth.

Neil in mid Wales: Also in the unusual position here of an LFC fan wanting to see Everton win. Mind you that's so they will get distracted in the league and get relegated!

Fiorentina have the edge in the all-Italian clash with Roma. Gonzalo Rodriguez scores from the penalty spot after Jose Holebas's foul on Matias Fernandez.
