Manchester City's Yaya Toure, speaking to BT Sport: "I think the Italian team defended well and I think they were lucky today. We just have to be strong and try to bounce back in the next game. We missed a lot of chances today. We have to learn from it and try to do better."

It's full time in Tuesday's Champions League games. The rampant Cristiano Ronaldo has bagged a hat-trick in a 4-0 win for  Real Madrid over Shakhtar Donetsk, while fellow Group A rivals Paris St-Germain opened their campaign with a victory over Malmo.

Wolfsburg have beaten CSKA Moscow courtesy of a Julian Draxler goal, while Atletico Madrid won 2-0 in Galatasaray.

Borussia Monchengladbach were back in Europe's top competition after a 37-year absence but lost 3-0 to Sevilla and Champions League debutants Astana were beaten 2-0 by Benfica.

Double woe for Manchester tonight then.

Both sides can take positives from their displays but the overall feeling is one of disappointment and ultimately frustration. 

BIG celebrations in Eindhoven as PSV come from behind to take victory in Group B.

Luke Shaw's suspected broken leg will throw more cloud over this game as far as Manchester United are concerned. They were on top for large spells but were just not clinical in front of goal. 

Caution to the wind time as Manchester Unietd flood black shirts forward. PSV smell a third on the break and are almost in on goal but Daley Blind just about hacks it away.
