"We were talking before kick-off about how much Manchester City have tightened up at the back, and tonight they're playing against Juventus - famous for having had, for years, one of the best defences in football.

"Hardly surprising then, that the score is 0-0."

A huge ovation as Sergio Aguero is out to warm up for Manchester City. His availability is a huge boost for City. Can they find a way through? Or is 0-0 a decent result?

    Champions League vote drama

It is not just at the football stadiums of Europe that we are having some top-class drama this evening.

Our vote has now finished. We asked which English team will go the furthest in the Champions League this season. Well, 32% of you went with Man City, 31% with Man Utd.

There was 21% of the vote for Arsenal and Chelsea, poor Chelsea. Well, they came home fourth with 16%. Don't they know how well Jose does in his third season at a club?

Manchester United can rightfully say that they deserve to be ahead at the break. Memphis Depay and then Ashley Young put two very good balls across the area, just crying out for a touch.

    BBC Sport chief football writer

"Juventus are showing all their know-how here. Manchester City have had a couple of opportunities but last season's Champions League finalists fall firmly into the "no mugs" category. Chances will be at a premium here and City will have to be much more clinical when they come along."

    Pat Nevin

"A goalless draw isn't a result that would totally devastate Manchester City but they really will want to win their home games. It's certainly the correct score so far. It's been like a game of chess.

"I think Manuel Pellegrini will be desperate to get his players in at half-time to make them understand how important a victory would be in helping them get out of the group. City have to attack more."

Against the run of play, PSV get back into it! Hector Moreno - the man whose challenge ended Luke Shaw's night - heads in a corner via the head of Daley Blind.

    Scrappy, but PSV won't care.
