The midfield powerhouse exchanges passes with fellow Ivorian Wilfried Bony inside the Sevilla box, then curls just past the wrong side of the post. Kevin de Bruyne is stripped and ready on the touchline. Not what Sevilla want to see....

There is a long delay as the referee ponders his decision before the arm points for a goal-kick. The replays are damning for Young, who hooked his leg after the ball was gone. Desperate times...

Jurgen Locadia has netted forPSVin the other game in Manchester United's group. As things stand, that goal would take them andWolfsburginto the top two positions in the standings, with United and CSKA a point further back. My, that's tight.  

Shakhtar leadMalmo3-0 so if Real Madrid hold on to their 1-0 lead overParis St-Germain,Los Blancos would be through.

Hernanes has been sent off forJuventusatBorussia Monchengladbach. If that stays at 1-1, Manchester City will go through with a win.

Oh Wayne Rooney. It is almost painful to watch. Juan Mata cuts in from the left and his shot-turned-cross finds the United striker courtesy of a deflection off a CSKA defender, but he cannot get the ball out of his feet and then loses control with the goal at his mercy.

City were ruthless in attack in the first half. They are being stubborn in defence in the second. Sevilla get down the right but Vincent Kompany rises to head away. Fernandinho and Fernando are putting in some yards in midfield.

"We want to attack, we want to att-aaaacck, we're Man United, we want to attack."

That's the song at Old Trafford right now.

Huge boos from the Manchester United fans. Anthony Martial is off for Marouane Fellaini. To be fair, he has not exactly been effective, but surely you'd rather he was on the pitch when you need a goal? The United fans sing Martial's name in a further sign of dissent to Louis van Gaal's decision.

Raheem Sterling's pace is scaring the life out of the Sevilla defence. He cuts in from the left, past a couple of players and looks to find the bottom corner but his effort is blocked.

Fellaini is stripped and ready for action. A change was necessary because this game is drifting and United cannot afford to let that happen. The questions they are asking CSKA are pre-school level.

Marouane Fellaini is warming up on the touchline. Is his more physical presence the answer to opening up the CSKA defence? At the moment it is like a lime-green wall.

CSKA are growing in confidence. Ahmed Musa beats his man on the left and crosses towards Seydou Doumbia in the box, but David de Gea is out quickly to claim ahead of the striker. 

Just the presence of Doumbia on the pitch has given United pause for thought.

Soon after, Sterling sets up Bony inside the box, but he cannot get his shot on target and instead shoots wide of the post.
