  2. Man United 0-0 CSKA Moscowpublished at 20:27

Over at Old Trafford, Manchester United's left flank is seeing some heavy traffic.

Jesse Lingard has been particularly busy, but has also passed up two very presentable chances.

    Real Madrid 1-0 PSG

We have a goal and a freakish one at Real Madrid. Toni Kroos lets rip from range and his shot is deflected high into the air. Paris St-Germain goalkeeper Kevin Trapp comes to collect it but gets halfway and thinks 'nope, I ain't getting there.'

As he backtracks, Nacho volleys side-footed from a narrow angle and the ball rolls into an unguarded net. Trapp was trapped in the middle of nowhere.

More frustration for United as Wayne Rooney looks to be away before the assistant's flag ends his hopes of clear run on goal. Ashley Young had the whole of the right wing to himself as well. How United could do with a goal before the break. They've had so much of the game that CSKA will take hope from the fact they are still level. Hope that could well become belief later in the game.

    Sevilla 1-3 Man City

Down the left, down the right, through the middle. Manchester City are causing a nuisance of themselves all over the pitch. The Blues have peppered the home goal with 15 attempts in just 36 minutes. Sevilla, who are looking to attack down the flanks, have managed just a third of that total.

  6. Man United 0-0 CSKA Moscowpublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 November 2015

Probably not who Manchester United would have wanted the chance to fall to.

A lovely deep, curling cross from Ashley Young out on the right, drops invitingly onto Marcos Rojo's left peg, but the Argentina defender fluffs his attempt into the hoardings.

He never looked convincing as the ball arrived and he tried to sort out his limbs in time.

    Sevilla 1-3 Man City

    Alistair Bruce-Ball
BBC Radio 5 live commentator in Seville

"Jesus Navas back at his former club did really well to set it up. It was a sure-footed finish by Bony. As I look, he turns to the City fans and raises his arm in celebration."

    Wilfried Bony

Forget digging in, just get down the other end and score! Jesus Navas does superbly down the right, cutting in and picking his man with a low cross. The man he picks out? Wilfried Bony, who makes no mistake with a first-time finish into the corner of the net. He has had some stick of late, the striker (mainly because he isn't Sergio Aguero) but he took that really well. It is his first Champions League goal and it has given City a firm grip on the game again.

"I have to say, I didn't think Lingard could score there. He had to look into the centre to who he could pass to. There were two waiting for tap ins. He doesn't see them."

United come close to making me look a right mug as Ashley Young crosses low across the face of goal to find Jesse Lingard on the left, but his shot is high and elicits groans from the home crowd.

Nothing to report from Old Trafford during that little period of focus on events in Seville. No sign that United are about to break their five-hour drought.

Here's the Sevilla goal laid out in the form of a tactics board. What it doesn't make totally clear is Nicolas Otamendi was totally skinned by Coke (number 23) - the dotted line indicates him racing around the City defender.

Sevilla's tails are up. Timothee Kolodziejczak (easy for you to say) draws a good save from Joe Hart down to his left before Vicente Iborra finds the side-netting with his follow up. Crucial moments for City, these. They have to dig in.

Raheem Sterling is up and back on. He's going to carry on. One to monitor. It would be a big blow for City if he has to go off as he's looked very lively.

  18. Goal elsewhere at last...published at 20:12

    Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 Juventus

At last we have a goal away from Manchester Ciy's game and it's a key one. Borussia Monchegladbach lead Juventus. That result, even if City win, will mean Manuel Pellegrini's side won't be certainly through after four games.

A flat front two? Wayne Rooney dropping into the hole? Anthony Martial drifting wide?

It looks like the Manchester United strikers have license to play it fast and loose. One thing for certain though that Martial has been given the chance to play through the middle rather than out left.

Martial (no.9) and Rooney (no.10) have almost exactly the same average position in the graphic below.

    Benoit Tremoulinas

It is the game that keeps on giving. Sevilla are back in it as Coke runs down the right and nips past the static, tentative Nicolas Otamendi before chipping up a cross for the unmarked Benoit Tremoulinas to head home unmarked. To make matters worse for City, Raheem Sterling is down injured.
