    Juventus 1-0 Man City

Daniel Woodley: Fantastic goal for Juventus. Superb cross and brilliant finish. Delight to watch.

Fred: That was embarrassing from Otamendi. Went down like a ton of bricks.

    Juventus 1-0 Man City

City break well and Yaya Toure finds Kevin de Bruyne flying down the left wing. The Belgian cuts inside and loses the ball.

Seconds later that man again Paul Pogba breaks into the penalty area and his low cross is hacked off the line. It's the Paul Pogba show.

"What a heavy first touch from Lingard to give the keeper the chance to come out and smoother it. But what a great ball from Wayne Rooney to pick him out on the edge of the box."

Wayne Rooney doing good work on the right wing - as he was for England the other night - pulling into space and finding Jesse Lingard streaming into the area - but his touch is poor. Chance gone.

    Pining for Pogba

Pogba has been brilliant so far. At the risk of sounding like my grandma - he appears to have grown since I last saw him.

PSG are running the show in Malmo. Not long after opening the scoring, they add a second, former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria driving home.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are up and running at Shakhtar Donetsk, Gareth Bale lifts a cross into the path of Cristano Ronaldo, who nods in from close range.

The other Madrid has also scored. Atletico take the lead against Galatasaray as Antoinne Griezmann peels away from his marker to head in from a corner, 1-0.

That's better from the hosts as Jesse Lingard shovels the ball down the line for Matteo Darmian, adding all the width on the right. He looks up and fires it in hard, early and low, PSV keeper Jeroen Zoet misses it and Wayne Rooney is almost in for a tap-in but a defender is there.

    Mario Mandzukic (18 mins)

And that is why that Fernandinho miss was so costly - Juve score seconds later!

Paul Pogba starts it, ghosting past Kevin de Bruyne so easily before finding a man on the left. The cross comes in and Mario Mandzukic shrugs off Nicolas Otamendi to meet it on the volley and steer it home.

Otamendi thinks he was fouled but he needs to be stronger.

Former Manchester United and PSV striker Ruud van Nistelrooy is in the crowd tonight. Wonder where his loyalties lie?

    Juventus 0-0 Man City

What a chance! Kevin de Bruyne puts a cross over from the left, Yaya Toure knocks it back and Fernandinho is in, 10 yards out - and he smashes it over the top!

A horrible finish. Keep it down and it's a goal. Just before, Paul Pogba had unlocked the City defence with a brilliant piece of skill.

If you didn't know, Wolfsburg won in Moscow earlier this evening and they now top Group B.

As it stands United are second, a point behind, with PSV a further point back in third.

Man Utd pressing their opponents? This average position graphic shows the extent to which they have forced the game on to their opponents in the opening 15 minutes.

United have still only had one, tame shot on target though.

Nathan in Oxford: How about a noodleknocker for a fan getting hit in the head with the ball, oh dear that fan got hit by a right noodleknocker."

Josh in York: Following another 'frubal' run from our self-indulgent striker, I once heard a narked teammate call him 'agnorant' - presumably a toxic mix of arrogant and ignorant...

Nutmeg is a powerful little beast though. I read a book once about the importance of nutmeg during the 1600s. I can't remember the exact details, forgive me, but England basically swapped New York City for an island which had a good crop of the stuff. (Or vice versa).

    Solid decision.

How on earth the word, nutmeg (the hard, aromatic, almost spherical seed of a tropical tree) is related to playing the ball through an opponent's leg is beyond me.

But this is the beauty of it Richard - not so obvious, but somehow ever so right.

Old Trafford is momentarily a sea of glittering white lights, like a U2 gig as thousands of United fans hold up their phones throughout the seventh minute as a mark of respect to mark the 10th anniversary of George Best's death.

"PSV can't put three passes together at the moment. That is all down to United's work-rate. How long they can keep this up, I don't know. You are asking the whole 11 to keep pressing and hounding."

    Malmo 0-1 PSG

It is the great Zlatan homecoming in Malmo, with PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic getting a huge cheer from the Swedish fans tonight. The French side have just taken the lead, but not via Ibrahimovic. Instead, Adrien Rabiot has headed the visitors into the lead.
