  1. 'Better from Wales'published at 21:26 British Summer Time 6 July 2016

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

The last five minutes Wales have done better. It's going to take a lot to come back from here but there's been positive changes, with Williams on now. The next goal, Portugal get it, it's curtains, if Wales get it, we're back in the game.

Jon Evans: Wales are really missing Ramsey. No creative flair in the middle.

Helen Verlander: How anyone thought Wales would win this game without 'Rambo' is beyond me.

Aashish: Without Ramsey, Bale has too much to do.

  3. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

Gareth Bale overcooks a pass to set Neil Taylor in and he's furious with himself. Wales looking a threat now with these changes though. Get one and who knows?

  4. Postpublished at 67 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

Sam Vokes stretches to flick a header over the top and he complains that he was tugged back, it appears so from Jose Fonte. That would have been soft though.

Wales need something to give them belief.

  5. 'It should be three'published at 21:23 British Summer Time 6 July 2016

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Wow. That should have been three. I can't really blame Hennessey because it looked to me like Nani's shot took a bit of a deflection off James Chester. Joao Mario with the miss.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 67 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

James Collins is off, Jonathan Williams on for Wales. That's all three changes made by Chris Coleman, a back four and two strikers now. All change.

giles brooks: Welcome to the football reality England endure, Wales!

Elliot Shirnia: It's a travesty that a team as boring as Portugal look to be going to the final.

Jason Varga: Not bad but Platini's nine goals were scored in a single Euros, took Ronaldo four to catch him.

  8. SITTER!published at 66 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

Should be three! What a chance that is. Nani shoots from 25 yards, loads of swerve and dip on it and Wayne Hennessey can only push it out into the middle of the goals. There's Joao Mario, should be a tap-in but he blitzes it wide!

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

I don't know how close Ronaldo came in his previous 41 missed free-kicks but that is inches away.

  10. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 63 mins

Simon Church on, Hal Robson-Kanu off. That dragback and goal seems a long way away now.

Wales still half half an hour though.

  11. CLOSE!published at 63 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

Cristiano Ronaldo has never scored from a free-kick in 42 attempts at major finals but he won't get closer than that! Brilliant hit, dips over the wall and kisses the roof of the net.

  12. YELLOW CARDpublished at 62 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

Wales are unravelling fast, they look stretched and ragged now as James Chester knees into Cristiano Ronaldo and is booked.

    Wales on the rack

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer in Lyon

Wales fans are trying to rally their team but they have been dealt two deadly blows there by Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani.

Chris Coleman's players have an air of resignation about them. There has not been much in this Euro 2016 semi-final but moments like that magnificent Ronaldo header make the difference.

Wales need an almost instant response.

  14. Two up top for Walespublished at 21:17 British Summer Time 6 July 2016

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

    John Hartson
Ex-Wales striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Wales have gone to two up front in Vokes and Robson-Kanu, but it's important they get the service now. Get the balls in to them.

  15. Postpublished at 59 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

It's a very flat atmosphere in Lyon. The Wales fans vastly outnumber their Portuguese counterparts and that double sucker punch has hurt those backing Wales.

Portugal have done a job so far.

Thor Jensen: Goal and an assist. Game over. Wow, Cristiano Ronaldo!

Adam Lowrey: Ramsey missing makes a huge difference. Nothing in midfield without him, too passive.

Neil Cheese: OK three touches of genius. A Bale hat-trick?

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 58 mins

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

Sam Vokes is on for Joe Ledley. Wales must do something and they have put two forwards on now.

  18. Postpublished at 21:13 British Summer Time 6 July 2016

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder for BBC Match of the Day

Gareth Bale has to play higher up the pitch. He keeps coming deep to get the ball. But he needs to get at people one-on-one.

I'm surprised at how few Portugal fans are here for a European Championship semi-final.

Cristiano Ronaldo now has nine goals in the European Championships, that is level with Michel Platini at the top of the pile.

  20. 'Wales slow at the back'published at 21:11 British Summer Time 6 July 2016

    Portugal 2-0 Wales

    Kevin Ratcliffe
Former Wales captain on BBC Radio 5 live

They were a little bit slow to react, Wales. They were slow to push out. They were caught out at the back.
