Townsend might be one of those players who just shines on the international stage. He thrives when he puts the shirt on! Has to go and possibly start. Barkley's confidence on the other hand looks pretty shot right now.

Not his biggest fan but that is the best performance I have seen from Raheem Sterling for at least a year

"They weren’t convincing again like the Turkey game. Australia put up a strong performance but lacked quality in the final third. I don’t know what team Roy’s going to go with. There’s a lot of questions to be asked in a lot of positions."

Wayne Rooney leads the charge, he then finds Ross Barkley and his lay-off finds Jordan Henderson 25 yards out. But it's a tired swing at the ball and duffs the shot wide.

England look like holding on to win tonight but there are as many questions as answers. As is always the way for an England manager. Ross Barkley tanks a shot straight at Mat Ryan.

A debut for Burnley keeper Tom Heaton. He's the first Burnley player to play for England since 1974.

    He'll get about five minutes...

Bertrand’s played well - he’s used the ball well and spotted the danger. And from what I’ve seen I’d go with Kyle Walker ahead of Clyne.

Will Grigg's on fire! Na na na na na naa naa, na naa naa na naah...

A great way to end a great night for Northern Ireland as the Wigan man takes advantage of another poor clearance to lash home from 15 yards.

Andros Townsend skins his full-back twice in the space of a minute, first he finds Jordan Henderson who can't control his cut-back, and then he finds Henderson but his pass is poor and Wayne Rooney can't get clear.

That's what Eric Dier can do though, he steps out of defence and then plays a cracking pass to Wayne Rooney, who spreads it out wide and the cross is cleared away.

Uh-oh - Wayne Rooney is holding his foot after he was stepped on by Mile Jedinak. Get the metatarsal factfile out...

No, I think Rooney is OK. Just sore.
