    Tottenham 1-0 Manchester City

Son Heung-min has been rejuvenated at Spurs this season - and he is causing all sorts of problems with his drive and strong running in the early stages.

Pep Guardiola calmly took a sip from his water bottle after Aleksandar Kolarov sliced Danny Rose's cross into his own net - but he has since been up on his feet and animated as Manchester City struggle to get to grips with Spurs.

No sign of the leaders hurting Spurs since falling behind, in fact it's danger at the other end as Claudio Bravo is tested by a high hanging pass and he's lucky to be reprieved by a whistle. Spurs on top.

If Charlie Austin knows that Gareth Southgate is watching it's certainly helping his performance! What a great effort, hit on the bounce from a really tight angle but he flashes the shot past Kasper Schmeichel and against the post. Fine effort!

    Southampton have started really well.

Segun Agbaje: That Tottenham high press is what has given them the lead. What a thing of beauty

Ben Rabinovich: Top top finish by Kolarov! City keeper had no chance of reaching that.

Daniel Tinkler: Who needs Kane when you can make the opposition score for you?

    Tottenham 1-0 Manchester City

This is the first time Manchester City have been behind in the Premier League this season. Let's see how they react.

  6. Postpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Leicester 0-0 Southampton

Another good cross from the Southampton right ends with Charlie Austin heading wide. Dusan Tadic the man with the devilish delivery on that occasion.

  7. CLOSE!published at 14:26 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Leicester 0-0 Southampton

Charlie Austin has five goals in his last four games and will be disappointed he didn't add to it. He latches on to a Cedric Soares cross to the far post but his header is straight at keeper Kasper Schmeichel.

    Tottenham 1-0 Manchester City

Son Heung-min is such a menace, again bursting past Pablo Zabaleta who needs help at right-back. He gets a shot off but Claudio Bravo is behind it to save well.

    Aleksandar Kolarov (OG 9 mins)

He has won plaudits for his start to the season but that's a massive rick from Aleksandar Kolarov and it gives Spurs the lead! Credit to Danny Rose, it's a very good cross from the left which clears the men in the middle, Kolarov swings his right boot at it but ends up missing his kick, the ball bounces off his thigh, into the pitch, and in off the inside of the post.

    Advantage Tottenham.

    Leicester 0-0 Southampton

If you like your strikeforce to have different options then Leicester are the team to watch. Islam Slimani gives them yet another dimension and the home side are not afraid to look for him early, with Jamie Vardy always on the shoulder of the last man looking for a flick-on.

No chances of note yet though.

Son Heung-min has started like a man in the form of his life. He is rapid, whipping past Pablo Zabaleta with ease but he can't beat John Stones, who makes a mighty fine sliding tackle.

  12. CLOSE!published at 14:19 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Tottenham 0-0 Manchester City

A very high tempo start at White Hart Lane as Spurs almost find Son Heung-min through the middle, and then City go so close to a goal!

Jesus Navas teases a cross in from the right, David Silva has a tap-in but he doesn't make a telling connection and it bobbles behind for a corner.

Virgil van Dijk - named as one of the 'irreplaceables' by plenty of our readers earlier on - shepherds it out of play nicely. Steady start.

  14. 'Could have been a big fat result'published at 14:16 British Summer Time 2 October 2016

    Manchester United 1-1 Stoke

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho: "This is the best performance all season and could have been one of these fat results in the Premier League, it could have been 5-0 or 6-0. We had big chances, with amazing saves and big misses.

"We chased the second goal and they go at the other end and score the goal and get a point. You can have sometimes have draws where what you does nothing to change the result.

"The players and I did everything. I made changes, everyone was giving more and more but today we could be here all day without winning the game. We will play worse and win games for sure."
