West Ham sit just three points clear of the relegation zone as it stands, having won just three league matches.

Lovely feet from Romelu Lukaku on halfway to lose Winston Reid first and then Michail Antonio. The ball ends up wide as Lukaku makes his way into the box and he's on the end of the cross, bringing a routine save from Adrian with his side-foot effort.

There's nothing much coming from West Ham here. Everton are not over committing as you may expect and the Hammers just don't seem to have the cutting edge needed up top. Ross Barkley gets a good reception as he exits the stage for Aaron Lennon.

Dimitri Payet has the ball near halfway and opens up his body to arrow a great ball into the box. It's diagonal towards Sofiane Feghouli but Bryan Oviedo finds just enough to glance away for a corner.

There has not been much in this. Everton have had 14 shots, West Ham 13. Everton have played 350 passes, West Ham 342. Possession is 50.6% versus 49.4% in favour of the home side.

Yannick Bolasie makes way for Phil Jagielka. He claps as he exits. Those gloves have got to go, it's only October.

That goal by Ross Barkley has lifted everybody’s spirits at Goodison Park - except the West Ham fans of course.

They still haven’t given up yet West Ham, but it will take something for them to come back now. They have asked questions though. Dimitri Payet has been a constant threat for them.

Everton have hardly had to produce fireworks here? West Ham having a bit of a pre-Halloween nightmare since their bright start.

Referee Anthony Taylor is quick to brandish a yellow card for Bryan Oviedo as the left-back hacks down Michail Antonio on the right wing. Antonio did him for legs and shifted the ball just as the challenge was coming. In comes the delivery... cleared. West Ham are knocking on the door but their end product is missing.

I wouldn't want Anthony Taylor painting my living room if he thinks that line is straight.

Tom Cleverley is on for Kevin Mirallas, that should shore Everton up. Simone Zaza still wants a first West Ham goal and will get a chance as he enters to replace Edimilson Fernandes.

Joel Robles throws himself high to his left to turn a Mark Noble curler around for a corner. It's a good effort but his body shape told us all where he was aiming and Robles took heed of that information early to get across and do the business.

One thing I will say for this game is it's one of flurries. We've not had a spell where both sides are at it, it's either one or the other. Now we see West Ham taking charge and Michail Antonio - who went close moments ago - spots the run of Andre Ayew. It's a good ball and the ex-Swansea man is behind the defensive line but across comes Bryan Oviedo to make a crucial block.

Winston Reid will miss West Ham's home fixture against Stoke. He's just handballed needlessly and out comes the yellow.

A big chance for West Ham as Michail Antonio pounces on an Ashley Williams mistake. The pair race for the same ball and though Williams gets there, he tries to overplay when under instant pressure. Antonio is in, driving in from the left flank to shoot at goal but Joel Robles makes a key block.

The age-old internal battle when your fantasy league players are playing against the team you support. Romelu Lukaku is my captain this week Chris. Sorry.

Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna and Michail Antonio among those waiting for Dimitri Payet's corner. It's straight out for a goal kick. Even the greats in the Premier League have their howlers.

Since that early West Ham dominance Everton have really grown into proceedings and probably now just about deserve their lead.
